How does the GFS and the CMC depict a surface with rain that far inland from a 500mb depiction showing the trough not going negative till past ATL? -
On both the GFS and the CMC the 500mb trough doesn't go negative till past Atlanta. There is no way that would be anything other than snow for the PHL region.

Those are normal SST for this time of year. And the airmass coming will be fresh cold. Temps will be no issue based on the Euro track from 12Z
