Just calling out the people who say the pattern, post day 10 looks "epic". Looks serviceable with cold lurking.

Exactly. I see the pattern getting worse, subsequently to this. That western ridge is getting beat down and the flow goes zonal. That's not an "epic" look at all.

I'm not seeing it. I see a zonal flow with cold air lurking. That does not scream "epic" to me. Screams win some/ lose some.

January 31st, 3F, and barren frozen ground. Need to break out the makeup and glitter and go 80s glam band to fit the pattern.

Looking great on the OP at day 10 for subsequent days after this.

It looks hostile until around the 10th, at least, so we are basically 1/2 way thru February before was see a turn to wintry potential in SNE.

Less than 5" likely for most.

It's never the outcome with squalls. It's all about the brief but chaotic nature of them. I'd prefer a squall line over everything that has transpired since Nov 15th this season though here.
