  1. Yeah, he needs to improve his soil composition. It may take a few years of doing this to really turn it around. Focus on that and the grass will respond.
  2. If you do a core aeration of the soil then top dress with compost, that should get the nutrients down into the ground.
  3. Aug 2018 was off the charts at a +5.8.
  4. Definitely some stressed tree leaf color change around my area
  5. There are so many varieties now, it's tough to keep track. https://www.brewcabin.com/hop-varieties/ Cascade, Chinook, Citra, Amarillo, Centential, Mosaic, Simcoe are all pretty versatile for both aroma and bitterness.
  6. Check out this resource https://www.uvm.edu/extension/nwcrops/hops
  7. While I agree with your premise, I have a couple issues. Lyme is a treatable condition with antibiotics. EEE has no cure and the mortality rate is 30% for those who contract it and for those who do not, most are left while severe neurological/cognitive impairment. With the global rise in temps, we will most definitely see an increase in cases annually. We should do as mush as we can, safely, to mitigate, lessen, prevent, and possibly cure this.
  8. See what transpires overnight. Nice slug south of BID
