  1. We've been seeing a tendency all season for storms to amplify in the day 4/5 range, only to dampen out on the short term.
  2. Until this shifts east, we run the risk of cutters. It's a good pattern for the west though.
  3. https://www.tauntongazette.com/news/20200102/taunton-city-solicitor-jason-buffington-remembered-as-consummate-pro-who-lived-life-to-fullest-to-very-last-day
  4. He was such a nice person. Got the pleasure of meeting him at one of the 1st conferences in Baltimore.
  5. City of Taunton lost a long time public servant and a long time friend to @butterfish55. Fuk cancer.
  6. I agree. While the increased resolutions are great, I like looking back at the coarser models. It does feel like there is far too much variability run to run these days. This is where knowledge/experience as a forecaster trump models.
  7. Ok. So far the only negative impact I've seen has been the rise in coastal impacts (ie flooding). That does not occur only in Winter. That's year round.
  8. I don't even know what point you are trying to make
  9. For all of New England? Starting Jan 1, I say 3-4 for New England.
  10. Not too far off. I do know TAN was offline for some time so they may be a bit low as you state.
  11. Another solid melt today. That's like twice in a weeks time. Pattern blues got to him.
  12. Must have made a detour to the marketing dept.
  13. No, I recall many METs saying the pattern would be better then the one we are currently in with the upcoming modeled -epo.
  14. Who said it would be a great upcoming pattern?
  15. @alex Sending people the wrong way? https://www.boston.com/news/local-news/2019/12/29/burlington-family-stranded-after-following-gps-onto-snowmobile-trail
  16. We currently have a pig. Looks better by end of 1st week of Jan though. As you stated though, we may have to contend with SE ridging. Would help if we had some downstream blocking.
  17. Do you know what that land was used for previously? Wondering if it was a livestock farm. Could have contaminated the subsoil.
