  2. I don't recall the named storm but it was a good 5-7 years ago now that brought some solid winds to SE MA. Brought down some tress in the neighborhood. This looks nothing like that threat.
  3. No one has said there would not be wind damage potential in SW CT.
  4. To all 3 of those points, I think the greatest risks in New England are in western areas. Not saying we can't rule out a rogue spin up or rain band, I just see the majority of issues being over W NE.
  5. All the best forcing for rain is west of the circulation. Gonna be huge disappointment around eastern areas.

  9. It’s a good thing it’s POS strength wise. The last thing we need is a weather disaster in the country. A nice gale with some heavy rains would be welcomed here.
  10. Hard to believe it’s an 85Mph sustained storm right now.
  11. Odds are forever in his favor on NBD here. It takes a precise track to make TCs meaningful in New England. Let's stick to model analysis and lay off calling people out.
  12. Bullseye 5 days out wreaks of confidence of a direct hit.
  13. I'd hedge that way as well unless we see some weakening in that ridging dvelop.
  14. You should see the white pines and yellow birch at our house in Bridgton. I’ll post pictures some day when I remember. They have to be 100’ tall. The trunks are probably 24” dia.
  15. About 1/2 my lawn has gone dormant now from the heat and lack of rain.
  16. If it's not 990' in CT, then you're at sea level.
  17. Did you try using the Picture This App? https://www.picturethisai.com/
  18. Yeah, I have a Kousa now. It's done wonderfully. Blooms a bit later then other Dogwoods I see around. Nice white blooms with some tinges of pink in there. Fruit is red as well. Looks like red-twig is the same species. I had one when I lived in Middleboro and I just loved the bright red in WInter. https://www.mortonarb.org/trees-plants/tree-plant-descriptions/red-osier-dogwood
