  1. Hard to believe it’s an 85Mph sustained storm right now.
  2. Odds are forever in his favor on NBD here. It takes a precise track to make TCs meaningful in New England. Let's stick to model analysis and lay off calling people out.
  3. Bullseye 5 days out wreaks of confidence of a direct hit.
  4. I'd hedge that way as well unless we see some weakening in that ridging dvelop.
  5. You should see the white pines and yellow birch at our house in Bridgton. I’ll post pictures some day when I remember. They have to be 100’ tall. The trunks are probably 24” dia.
  6. About 1/2 my lawn has gone dormant now from the heat and lack of rain.
  7. If it's not 990' in CT, then you're at sea level.
  8. Did you try using the Picture This App? https://www.picturethisai.com/
  9. Yeah, I have a Kousa now. It's done wonderfully. Blooms a bit later then other Dogwoods I see around. Nice white blooms with some tinges of pink in there. Fruit is red as well. Looks like red-twig is the same species. I had one when I lived in Middleboro and I just loved the bright red in WInter. https://www.mortonarb.org/trees-plants/tree-plant-descriptions/red-osier-dogwood
  10. This is my ongoing list of plants I'm looking into. Some I already have in my yard. I'm going to wait till the Fall at this point to plant anything given we are in the middle of our dry season. 11. Those look good. I'm looking to start designing plantings that I want for my front beds that were just done. I'm looking to have year round color/interest thru flowers, shrubs.
  12. Yeah, looks like some sort of Tree Nut Fruit
  13. Look a the 1st picture I posted above. There are 2 Sunset Maples that I planted about 12 years ago now. They were about 1-2" trunks (10' tall) when I planted them. Just look at them now. Ones has to be about 5-6" dia now and 20' tall. Flourishing on there on now. 1st season is critical for success. Keep that root mass damp.
  14. I’ve gone there. Don’t think I’ve ever bought anything from them though. The trees I’ve planted I purchased at Briggs Nursery in North Attleboro.
  15. Front yard was edged and mulched while we were on vacation. Had the shrubs in front of the house yanked out. Long overdo for a makeover. Ready for plantings in the fall. Just need to come up with ideas for more color year round.
  16. Gonna pull the trigger on doing the front yard this season. Edging/mulching, pulling up a few shrubs. Glad I have nothing to do with this amount of work.
  17. Determined what this was. It’s the bloom of a Scouler Willow. Interesting that it took root where it did.
  18. Michael Scott “That’s what she said!”
  19. Says he coming tomorrow AM to go over my list of things I’d like addressed. First and foremost is getting my entire lawn/gardens edged and mulched. As a side bar, my lawn is the best it’s looked in a couple years. Still a bit of weeds in it and there is a good amount of thatch that’s led to thinned out areas. These are things I’d like addressed as well with contractor. I don’t have the time to put any meaningful time in doing yard work beyond cutting the lawn.
