    The pattern has been weird this spring. There has been a tendency for cutoffs to form south of here pushing any heat west and north and this upcoming modeled stretch looks the same.

    I’ve only hit 80F 11 days since May 1st. 87F has been my high this month and 83F was my high in May. Above normal month thru today, but by no means a torch. Bouts of warmth with a few days of cooler wetter days are perfect.

    Says he coming tomorrow AM to go over my list of things I’d like addressed. First and foremost is getting my entire lawn/gardens edged and mulched. As a side bar, my lawn is the best it’s looked in a couple years. Still a bit of weeds in it and there is a good amount of thatch that’s led to thinned out areas. These are things I’d like addressed as well with contractor. I don’t have the time to put any meaningful time in doing yard work beyond cutting the lawn.

    Initial thought was Sassafras, but tips of leaves look too pointed.

    Shade as much as you can. My lawn has improved over the years as I planted some trees and they've matured to give a larger expanse of shade.
