3km NAM definitely looks more realistic from ULs to surface. -
Agreed, but we've seen this before where the ULs look good but don't translate down to surface. It's the NAM though so I don't take credence in anything it shows for winter storms.

Just comparing the 06 and 12z RGEM runs and they're virtually the same. Maybe a hair less amplified but nothing noteworthy.

What is the HRRR long range? Anything beyond 1-2hrs on that model is long range to me. Does it go beyond 48hr?

Yeah, that's been popping up pretty consistently. Some will be having radar hallucinations thinking the storm is well N&W while we wait for the coastal to take over.
