  1. Thanks, MillvilleWx! I really look forward to your writeups on upcoming winter storms!
  2. I am sorry about that, but you should get some from this system, as well as possibly from an anafrontal setup over the weekend or shortly thereafter. I am pulling hard for snow for the entire Washington Metropolitan Region this winter! This includes the northern and northwestern crews as well as the mountain areas such as Deep Creek Lake.
  3. Plus you have cold ground not to mention snow on snow, surface frigidization is in full play! Every snowflake will stick, from flake 1.
  4. I AM quite pleased! Everything is right in the world, now that I know Dale City got demolished by a foot of snow! The best part is, YOU ARE GONNA GET EVEN MORE! I hope you all get totally DEMOLISHED, totally annihilated!
  5. You're under an WWA right now, Northern Virginia, but trust me, its gonna get upgraded to a warning. Its only a matter of time. You guys are on a heater. There's just no doubt about it. No sleep at all, none, all you are gonna do is chase exciting model runs and drink gallons of coffee then watch the snowstorm unfold right in front of you! You're gonna pile up snow on snow! This is going to be a fun winter!
  6. Latest LWX AFD mentions strong winds on the back of Friday's snowy system. Hope you guys get pasted with heavy snow then 50 mph gusts blow it all over the place! I know its a bit early and I am jumpin the gun a bit here but you guys getting demolished by a foot of snow really made my day today! I want you to get even more!
  7. You are VERY welcome! I am pulling for a lot MORE great snowstorms for you all there in the Mid Atlantic Region! You are gonna get demolished by heavy snow quite a few times this winter!
  8. I have been living down here in northern Buda, Texas since Aug 26 2018. I live on Jerrys Ln down here. I have been spoiled ROTTEN by warm weather the past 2 months lol. I am NO warminista though! I want Dale City to get buried ALIVE in deep snow! I want you guys to get shellacked by a million year blizzard! I want you to get hammered HARD by the snow deform from hell with 6 inch an hour rates for days! Don't forget to pile that snow up on the north side of sunlight blocking objects like houses, cars, whatever and wherever you can find to pile the snow insanely high so that that dastardly sun cant get to all of your precious snow! I have one last weenie question, I am sorry for all of the IMBY questions, but how much snow did Charles Town get, specifically at the Casino? Thanks. And, enjoy that snow! WOW 12 INCHES in Dale City! Isn't that a HECS? Find an icy area, run fast then SLIDE! Roll around and wallow in all that fresh snow at 3am when you know no one will see you lol! Take long jebwalks and dig, dig, dig lots of snow! There's nothing like "stolen" snow! Sneak a jebwalk right in your neighbor's drift in the middle of the night right where everyone is asleep! You guys are gonna get a LOT more snow this winter! This was only a rehearsal!
  9. Thanks, Fozz. I am so happy for everyone who got snow today in the greater Mid Atlantic Region. When that happens, all is right in the world.
  10. Hey does anyone know how much snow Dale City got from this storm?
  11. Thanks. Storm is really ramping up, get ready for a serious, serious shellacking!!!!!
  12. Dale City is 32 degrees. I am tracking the Temps there from central Texas lol. Anyone know what kind of precip is Fallin there?
  13. CONGRATS! What have I been tellin y'all all this time? You are going to have a very frigid, very snowy winter in early 2022! Forget the Nina! IT WANTS TO SNOW IN THE MID ATLANTIC! You guys are gonna get SHELLACKED! Happy New Year! Get those Jebman Shovels ready! Get ready for some EPIC jebwalks, as those HUGE aggregates blast past the streetlights! Post pics, or it never happened!
  14. This is without a doubt one of the most helpful posts I have EVER read in this sub.
  15. Well I am pulling for all of you to get hammered HARD with heavy snow! Its about time!
  16. Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC 339 PM EST Sun Jan 2 2022 .SYNOPSIS... A cold front will cross the region this evening, with low pressure then moving northeastward along the front late tonight into Monday. High pressure will return Tuesday before a weak system passes east Tuesday night. High pressure will return Wednesday before another system threatens for Thursday night and Friday. && .NEAR TERM /THROUGH MONDAY/... Latest analysis shows cold front across western Maryland and eastern West Virginia, sliding southeast across the region. To the south, low pressure is organizing over Alabama and Georgia and will be riding northeast across the Carolinas tonight and off the coast Monday. A few showers will cross the region this evening as the cold front crosses the area. Temps will fall rapidly behind the front. Quick on its heals, the low pressure will begin to spread precipitation northeastward across the region starting late this evening and continuing into the early morning. Guidance has come into better agreement and has trended significantly further northwest, so have increased snowfall totals and expanded warnings and advisories. Will be continually reviewing latest guidance this evening given still significantly discrepancies between model guidance, as well as great potential for a very sharp northwestern cut-off with some models showing a range from nothing to 6 inches within just a dozen miles or so. Great concern exists regarding potential for an intense FGEN band developing close to the metro early Monday which could drop 1-3 inch snowfall rates across the region. At this time, best odds favor locales just southeast, but potential does exist for upwards of a foot somewhere in our CWA. Nailing that location down is the hard part. ----------------------------
  17. CONGRATS EVERYONE! I told ya so, its gonna be a BAD FRIGID SNOW WINTER! You are all gonna get so shellacked! We are dealing with that arctic front down here. It killed all my plants.
  18. I am enjoying the warm weather this week and trying not to think about that front on Sunday........
  19. Yes, it is. Its not even New Year's yet and some of the trees "think" it is spring already. But I am definitely lovin it! I'd like it to stay 80/67 the next 10 weeks. As far as I'm concerned, the subtropical high in the GOM can just sit there and become semipermanent and intensify to about 640 decimaters. This is perfect weather! I been laughing at my relatives up North in Wisconsin and in Illinois.
  20. I am down here in Buda TX. I am LOVIN low temps being twenty degrees above normal! I wish the ridge over the GOM would become semipermanent into April. I love 80/66 conditions. Trees are sprouting spring leaves down here! My tomato plant is STILL producing tomatoes!
  21. Thats frackin ridiculous. Even snowblowers would be challenged by all that snow. Probably well over 15 feet of fresh snow, windpacked too, in ONLY 7 days! Better have top shelf snowshoes or else a strong strong lodge and plenty of stocked food and water. I'd be very concerned about cornices building and avalanching hazards.
  22. I am absolutely LOVIN the fact that I am going to enjoy an 85 degree, 67 degree dewpoint Christmas replete with sunshine! In fact the abnormal warmth will continue well into the New Year! My tomatoes are STILL growing! I have changed a lot in the 3 and a half years I have been down here. I have adapted and have new hobbies to replace the old ones I enjoyed in North Virginia. It is my profound belief that because Texas will have an abnormally warm winter, with 80s all the way into March 2022 and 60s to 70s dewpoints, that at the same time, the Mid Atlantic will end up with a below normal temperature winter, replete with many snowstorms, some of which will be abnormally heavy and will pile up in the DC Metro Region, to frightening depths. When we are warm down here, the Mid Atlantic tends to be colder. This condition will obtain well into the Spring of 2022. This will become known as the Winter without a Winter in the Deep South, and be remembered as one of the worst winters in the Mid Atlantic in a good many decades.
