  1. Getting hammered in Syosset. .81” of rain in 15 minutes, I’m surprised no flood warning issued. Still raining probably end up close to 1”.
  2. .53 in Syosset & .43 in Muttontown, light drizzle/mist now.
  3. .35 at both Muttontown & Syosset with rain still coming down.
  4. .26 in Syosset & .14 in Muttontown. Feast or famine with the rain of late.
  5. I've taken my son to FRG to watch planes land, etc never looked for the ASOS at the airport. Next time, I'll take a look. I would figure wind direction, especially if more onshore from the S or SE, would favor warmer temps at FRG than ISP.
  6. All that construction around FRG. Hotel is being proposed as well now. https://www.newsday.com/long-island/suffolk/hotel-republic-airport-pandemic-hampton-inn-1.46540093
  7. I'm getting nailed here in Great Neck at work, but my house hasn't seen anything in Syosset. Of course my weather envoy seems to have locked up since 1:30 pm so now no data is being received either.
  8. There’s browning on W Shore Road heading to Bayville on the N Shore. Saw it today heading up there.
  9. At work I’ve been on airplane mode as att cell site must be without power only get 1 bar and calls don’t work. Reminded me of Sandy.
  10. That’s my parents in Muttontown because they won’t allow a cell tower in the county preserve nearby. I actually have a satellite phone for them so they aren’t cut off from the world.
  11. It’s a mess across the street from me. Still no power for them and I doubt they get it back today, no crews in sight.
  12. As others have said, wish you a speedy recovery. Rest up & get well.
  13. 88 in Syosset. Muttontown offline at 6:27 am when internet went down.
  14. We need more ASOS on the island. There are so many spots that lack properly sited anemometers, even many that have home weather stations do not go putting it up on a 6' tripod on their roof and grounding it, so that it's 30 foot. I have my two for the NE Nassau, haha. Those were 54 & 49 FWIW as highest gusts. Driving in to Great Neck and taking Northern Blvd, you can see the area overall had gusts up to 80 mph. I'm sure W Suffolk did without a doubt as well.
  15. I know that but I still figured we’d get close to 1” but that never even happened. Glad I left sprinkler system on this morning to run.
  16. I think Fay did as well. As you said just the nature of the feeder bands by us.
  17. Lots of trees down in Great Neck. Also PT/Wx in Douglaston said trees down on parked cars by him.
