  1. Final thought on the storm. I think it was the timing that hurt Richmond. If the sun had been down for most of that snowfall it would have accumulated more. There some melt that was occuring with that slow rate of accumulation. Beware of black ice tonight and the morning. Temps in the 20s where roads melted from.just the sun
  2. Sun melted a lot of the snow in North Chesterfield today
  3. Yeah, it is not easy numbers at all for the average person to find and verify. Like I said at some point yesterday google and AI was no help at all on finding such info. The NWS site wasn't much help either when I glanced around it.
  4. Seem be at about 4.5 now in North Chesterfield with this 2nd wave still going a bit.
  5. Welp, that is 13 storms now since 2000 where Hampton Roads got 6 inches or more and Richmond did not.
  6. One more yard to verify. So 4 inches. I overestimated only slightly. Hell might still verify if that 2nd wave dumps a shower with one more inch.
  7. Ok North Chesterfield update is bo more snow for now. On car
  8. North Chesterfield snow continues. Car measurement again. About 3-4 in the yard. Some of the yard nay be over 4
  9. In retrospect I think we should have known. I feel like it is usually the night storms that get us pretty good.
  10. Still snowing here and that other wave might form up and hit, idk. So I'll give my thoughts tomorrow. Kind of seems like we just had a basketball bounce, roll on the rim, then barely fall out.
  11. 4:15 update. Lower amount is car and higher amount is grass Roughly 2 on hard surfaces and 3 on grass in North Chesterfield so far. Still snowing
  12. We got to remember tv mets work for stations selling ads and clicks as well
  13. Yeah, I saw the 6Z NAM and it was still like 5-6 inches back around 4 am. My lesson from this is I will ignore everything until 72 hours then look at the Euro going forward.
