  1. Seasons progress, now it’s mix and match season, time to utilize all the gear in the garage. Besides, May is still a long way off 5/12/20
  2. Pretty impressive melt on the hill for 3 days of warmth. Always funny to me the paradox of the ski trail. months go by the trail is down, in the snow. Spring warmth arrives, and the trail ascends, a nice reminder of the many days sliding and compacting. ETA: snow has begun again:)
  3. Braving the hard pack conditions today. Skating yesterday realized we haven’t had to flood the rink since January. That’s first. It is always fun to see how the winter will unfold. We haven’t had one storm over 9”, and yet, the access to quality winter fun has not been deterred. 6 weeks to go
  4. 4.5” of white beach sand here, surprised it was 20F based on the pelting, misty ski with the dog this morning. Quiet skies for the time being.
  5. -14 on the hill this morning, skate skiing on styrofoam, but no crowd:)

  11. Next for Phin will be working on the ski quiver:)
  12. I would highly recommend getting out at night for a bit with a head lamp during these cycles. It is a magical time with the diamond dust and flakes illuminated while moving in them.
  13. Doublehead is such a classic! J, living at the bottom of it, it is up to you to ski out that crust:)
  14. 12+ at 3K, windy, wild, and welcomed, skin track refills, and honking snow when we scooted out at 1 In typical fashion, 2” at the house, but it’s coming down steady now, bless the NW winds
  15. 37F with intermittent rain showers thus far I could careless here at 1080’, looking forward to 2K adding some inches and getting out for some downhill woods skiing

  17. Heaviest dusting of the week! 1” overnight Cleaned 2” off the rink which is the weeks accumulation
  18. It had been remarkable what a dusting each day has made, the snow settled and we have had a full week of winter fun, the ice has been perfect, ski jouring has been faster each day, even the downhill turns last night were enjoyable. Certainly making the most of 6” of snow, ever
