  1. Hopefully everyone gets a chance to get out in the woods up high. It is other worldly right now Starting out balmy, 14F. The slowest falling snow. .
  2. Like MRG, Jay had also switched sides. Bump lines that are usually on one side of a trail were scoured to cement and moved to the opposite side of the trail
  3. Impressive display out there today Climbed to 2500’ with ambitions of skiing. Got stood straight up by a gust and promptly turned around:) That wind was serious. Should be an interesting ski tomorrow. Our valley fields are down to grass and the occasional 6’ drifts. Up to 10F tonight though .

  6. No idea. Snowing all day, sideways from every direction. Shoveled the same spots 6 times, but there is no snow on either side of where the wind wants to lay it down:) Mountain was the same, couple gusts tried to knock you down, one tried to take the pack away while de skinning, drifts were soft and the skiing was quality Fun storm, windows continue to shake and the temps are down now to 23F .

  9. Felt like a proper December day out there today. No need for the B/W filter. We had a couple inches to refresh the surfaces and make for a fun deer tracking morning and a few fun hours on the Mt. .
  10. Beautiful! Moose doing moose things The compaction has begun. Cleared another 3” this morning, temps rose to 33 at the lift and there was periods of freezing rain and snow Low vis day, the powder ended up with a little extra sizzle to it, to much snow to ski anything low angled. Fun week. .
  11. Cleared another 5” this morning, skied knee deep in the wind blown woods, pole tips have frozen mud but the skiing was smooth. .
  12. Woke up to 4”, home to clear 6”, another 4” since 5pm. Officially looks like December, add in some wind and 0 degree windchill tomorrow and it is complete:) .
  13. Mountains keep squeezing for a few more inches, seems like forever since we had a Dec cycle like this. I have terrible short term weather memory though. The transition to ski season has been an enjoyable one thus far .
  14. Leaves are down for the season, hard frost this morning, excited for the change of season Last weeks view .
  15. Debating if I should light the stove. Cheers NNE, what a place to live. .
  16. Taken a few days to let the events of the eclipse set in. Talking with my wife we were both taken by the stillness of the event. It is cool to see the crowds and hear the joy and excitement in everyone, but I am forever grateful to have had the chance to do it from our home. A home that reminds me daily of the beauty of the world, to have sat there during the eclipse was something I didn’t know would matter so much to me and my family. Very grateful. .
  17. That was overwhelming. What a day! What an experience. I never left my yard:) .
