  1. You Verified: Pouring hard here now
  2. Just getting it now at work; down RT450 West Annapolis
  3. Since the feeder got moved, the steel shepherd's hook has been sitting empty out back. I watched out the window as one of the little rocket scientists climbed up it and started chewing on the hook where the feeder used to be. At least it figured it out and went away after about a half minute. Wacky rodents.
  4. Just a couple weeks ago, we moved the bird feeder from the back to the front of the house, just to get the squirrels away from the garden plants. Nothing else can stop them, despite having an enthusiastic squirrel chaser of a dog. (Dog doesn't go in the un-fenced front.) And, the bird feeder is quite squirrel-proof, but they just gather under it waiting for the birds to drop seeds down. And, a couple months ago, I replaced $100 worth of high pressure fuel line on the F-150 because they chewed a hole in it. (Long story. Difficult repair) eta: The feeder we've used for about 10 years; for those that are interested. https://bromebirdcare.com/squirrelbuster-mini/

  15. Some have said this is a better-than-most climate site near DC, billed as Lincoln VA when you choose it, then it becomes Purcellville, in name. Anyway, if you drop that 72f on the first, the lowest max for the month is 87. (But it always drops below 80 at night , even on the 10th)
  16. 0.18" from last night's t-storm Low of 75f
  17. High 101 Hottest in the 24 years I've lived here. First time breaking 100.
  18. High of 97 . Hottest day since 2012 at my station. Trace of rain with thunder.
  19. Thunder passing to our north, plus 20 drops of rain. Maybe something else will show up.
  20. Topped out at 94f today and got 0.02" of rain, which sadly brings me to 0.18" total for July. Exceeded 90f on 7 days of July so far.
  21. Pop up storm apparently... Just drove from Silver Spring to home , and temp fell from 97 to 81 plus a few puddles. Got home to 0.02" in the gauge. Breezy too.

  23. Noontime winds pretty strong in Annapolis. KNAK SE 18, gusts to 25. Otherwise, typical hot, humid summer day.
  24. Low 78/76 could equal our hottest day of last week if no cloud cover moves through.
