S Pines got a dusting, but it's still sleeting a bit. Everything should freeze on the ground tonight, so I imagine the town will be closed. Roads will be bad in the morning, for sure.

I've been following most of you on here for over 5 years now. Lots of you folks are very intelligent and I'm constantly blown away with your weather knowledge. With that being said, I feel even dumber than ever trying to figure out heads or tails of this storm.
I've read on here over the years that sometimes in NC the best snows popped up around 48 hours beforehand. Is there a possibility of that happening? I've seen so many times on here people swearing off a storm only to be reeled back in 12-24 hours later.
For what it's worth (and I don't know how his reputation is perceived on this board), Ryan Hall posted yesterday about how he thinks eastern NC is def in the game for something.
