My wife has reminded me we should have installed an on-demand LP genny, but we bought a Honda 7000IS inverter few years ago. Was pricey, but runs like a champ. In eco mode, I'm getting about 14hrs on ~4gal or about 0.29gal/hr. At $3.11/gal, that's costing us $0.90/hr. If we were using LP at an avg 1gal/hr, that would be $3.75 based on most recent tank fill. I know there are lots of benefits to on-demand, but I can't see spending 8-10K on such a unit for the convivence.

Not sure I trust CMP website. ETA on power is Friday, 10pm. Odd because there are roads not far from us that also list the same date, yet had power on this morning. Gonna suck hard if it's 2 more days. I saw where most of the trees were on lines and they have been removed as of this morning.

holy shit, is that even fixable this time of year? How can you even bring back in all the dirt/rock that eroded? Hard to rely on just snow to fill the gap.

Talked to my mom. Guess the pine tree did more damage then expected. Crushed much of the front door entrance, came partially through the ceiling. We've got a couple leads on guys coming out to remove the tree, but the repair work will be the main issue. It's a fairy new mobile home, but not sure how insurance will handle it. Some guys don't want to work on those.

What a shit show. Mom had pine tree land on house. Doesn't sound like water coming in. Meanwhile trying to get gas for genny was nuts. Tons of road closers, some were open but then closed on way back. What should have taken 25min was well over an hr. Wind still roaring. Couple shingles ripped off.
