  1. Pretty nice out on the deck. 80/69. Soon as you start moving around though, the sweat builds .
  2. Yes. My wife gave it a few pets, thinking it was dead, then it flew off .
  3. Last night was great for sleeping. Was almost 'cold"
  4. Gawd, I wish we could bottle this up for the wknd .
  5. How'd u score that? Only 0.08" here. Expecting the lawn to start withering per usual .
  6. Gutner said tropical downpours. His forecasting isn't great .
  7. I don't see a lot of meat heading our way
  8. Yeah the deck doors will be opening and closing a lot. May try putting our small dehumidifier in the room. Maybe that will help a bit .
  9. thanks. maybe i'll just get a box fan. If it rains, there could be 25-30 people in the house
  10. Regarding Saturday HHH, we have an open concept great room with 20' cathedral ceilings. Total sqft including foyer and kitchen is 740sqft. Too late to get a mini split, so was thinking of 12,000 btu window rattler. With all the open space, I'm not sure how effective a window unit will be, so burning $450 may be a waste. Plus we have large windows that lets the sun in, so I'm thinking the unit will provide little relief for our BBQ guests.
  11. 0.08" from round 1 of showers. Hopefully we can capitalize on some heavier stuff later.
  12. Why do you assume "most" all the time? You sound elitist .
  13. Always satisfying when u can fix stuff without calling the experts .
  14. holy shite, that's ridiculous for Saturday. We'll be having 25-30 people over. maybe we'll be partying in the basement.
  15. screw fashion. cut-off jeans ftw. My dad used to wear them and used a rope as a belt
  16. Maybe have an IV bag of fluids onboard
  17. Is this just thatch? We've had plenty of rain and the lawn looks dry in spots. I posted this in the NNE thread by accident, but got some suggestions for this lawn issue. Someone said red thread, but it's not that. Also suggested was to dig up a 6"x6" crap spot and compare the roots to a good spot. I've checked before for grubs and we've never had them, so not sure that what it is. We have three sections of lawn, all seeded with different variety. The other two look decent with no straw-like appearance, but the original seeded lawn, done by our builders in 2013 in these photos is the question.
