  1. Should mention that garage will sit on 4" crushed stone, so hopefully this will help
  2. Your garage has foundation or slab? We have neither. the garage arrives on a truck and is slid off into place. It's basically an oversized shed
  3. Would cost a fortune for a retaining wall and probably something that should have been put in place before fill was brought in
  4. There was no compacting done with a compacter other than driving the dozer over after a load of fill was dropped off and spread, so this probably qualifies as compacting to some extent. Garage will be 14x24'.
  5. Getting a prefab garage on Friday. Had to bring in a lot of fill for the garage to build up the land to level. I'm a bit concerned about the back side and sides where heavy rain could cause significant washout. Not sure what could be done to prevent that. We will seed some grass around sides of garage in Spring, but don't think seed would take hold on the slope sections of fill
  6. Or not. Anxiously waiting to see results from this study, which this far has been rejected by three high impact journals https://www.theblaze.com/op-ed/horowitz-danish-newspaper-reveals-largest-study-masks-rejected?xrs=RebelMouse_fb&ts=1603397121
  7. Sun finally coming out. High of 60.4f, dropping quick now. Few pics
  8. i do this for every snowstorm. makes me feel better
  9. Saw on news gyx radar needs to go offline sometime after they get funding to raise the tower higher as trees are starting to block the signal. I'd say cut the trees but might not be on the gyx property. OceanSt would know
  10. Interested in renting out for a weekend? I skied saddleback back in 80-90s. Great place. Skied there twice since it changed hands. Wife and I looking forward to heading up this year, otherwise we usually go to Sunday River
  11. How long have you had saddleback condo? Glad to see they're reopening even with covid restrictions.
  12. wouldn't surprise me. La nina, above avg temps, probably more wet/ice then snow, but warmer temps can still produce good snows, so we'll see.
  13. Pretty happy with how the newly seeded lawn project came out. Still a few thin spots which I'll fix in the Spring, but after a few failed attempts, I think and hope this grass seed holds up. Will be using the same one backside of house next year. Fingers crossed, but I'm pretty sure the prior failed attempts including hydroseed were junk seed.
  14. Not a big Todd fan. Him and Lee get too cozy in the morning with their kid like banter. I think Keith has much better frcsts too.
  15. Floods and snow in October. We screwed for wintah.
