  1. And at what point does the town use science and logic to say the ordinance can be dropped? I just watched a local news story about a LTC facility where most/all residents were fully vaccinated yet they were showing everyone inside still wearing masks and distancing. I'm like WTF?. 2. While it's fine to be polite, masking while walking by someone is pointless. The potential to get infected is virtually nill. People have a greater chance getting hit by a car Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk

  5. Nope. In the last two weeks our cases keep going up. While we're only 17% fully vaccinated you'd like to see the opposite trend. Whatever the reason (less social distancing, people not gaf, etc), it sure gives the anti-vaxers ammunition to say what's the point of getting the vaccine when cases keep going up.
  6. I'd also look at Israel to see how infections and deaths go from this point forward. They are 50%+ vaccinated and while I don't think they have as many strains circulating, the vaccines are very effective as I think they had 250 cases in the entire country yesterday. If down the line there is a big resurgence in cases and deaths, then I'd be concerned that we're going to be playing whack a mole a long time.
  7. IDK, I'm starting to think otherwise.
  8. Whittinsville has spoke about it a lot if you're referring to this sub.
  9. NNE continues to get the shaft, just like this winter.
  10. just reading some of the reddit responses to this are lol. I get that there are some benefits to WFO, but when people say it allows me to sleep in longer and other lame excuses, it's not the type of people I'd want working for me anyway.
  11. WFH article: The post-pandemic world: 34% of remote workers say they’d rather quit than return to full-time office work
  12. very much agree with this and like you said, not one mention on msm about correlation between being less healthy and covid risk and how we as a society should take better care of ourselves, but then that's a whole different conversation.
  13. Not to mention those that are fearful of anything genetic including those that think the covid vax takes over and/or rewrites (this was posted on reddit) your DNA. If they understood that getting infected with any virus be it flu, cold virus, etc, exposes the body to so much viral genetic material during virus uncoating, they might not be so concerned about it.
  14. By why only 2-3 days and not 5 days? I think you're going to say to decrease chance of infection due to fewer days people are exposed, similar to how some schools have done this. But, where's the data that shows that anything less than M-F in-person leads to fewer outbreaks and infections?
  15. I worked from home last march/apr for ~3 weeks total and went back full time. Can't run lab exps from home.
  16. The maine online vax sign up is log jammed. Every time I try to get a slot, the sites either crash or show an appt time, but by the time you fill out your name and such, it says appt is not avail. Wonder how many people will say f-it.
  17. this is just the beginning. I'm sure a lot of the remote, work-from-home folks that have been vaccinated still won't feel safe and make a case they should be able to stay home forever.
  18. Cliff notes. And please tell me you don't bang that out on a phone Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
  19. yeah, I'm just posting in quotes cause that's what some will say. I think we'll be fine and am happy to see some semblance of normal coming back.
