  5. meh, maybe a couple flights here and there. my wife's a FA and planes have been mostly full for awhile now.
  6. This is just utter BS. So, basically little has changed for vaccinated people and masks: "Physical distancing requirements for indoor public venues will also be lifted, the Mills administration said, "except in settings where people are eating or drinking and therefore would be removing their face covering – such as indoor restaurants, bars, dining areas in camps or in congregate living facilities, and break rooms." The indoor mask requirement will remain in effect, despite updated guidance from the U.S. CDC for people who are fully vaccinated. On Thursday, the U.S. CDC eased indoor mask-wearing guidance for fully vaccinated people, allowing them to safely stop wearing masks inside in most places. Mills lifted the outdoor face-covering requirement on April 27. RELATED: WATCH LIVE: CDC to ease guidance on indoor mask-wearing for fully vaccinated During the press conference, Mills said they will review the U.S. CDC's updated mask guidance, and said she's anxious to learn from the U.S. CDC how to distinguish people as vaccinated versus unvaccinated. "Notwithstanding the latest guidance from the U.S. CDC ... Mask wearing remains critical, regardless of the venue," Shah added. "When we do see [the U.S. CDC guidance], we will review it carefully, and proceed accordingly," Shah said, "but we just learned about and have not yet received it or reviewed it—that's gotta be step number one. Where we go after that, I can't speculate."
  7. Guess comrade Mills is not going along with CDC guidelines. Masks aren't over yet: While yes, the CDC has announced people vaccinated against COVID-19 can go without masks indoors and outdoors, Maine's indoor mask requirement remains in effect. However, on May 24, public indoor and outdoor capacity limits will be lifted and physical distancing requirements will be eased."
  8. So do you think they're trying to protect more people or make pharma more money?
  9. just have the presser today, jfc!
  10. yeah, but it's a safety measure so drivers know they're coming

  12. Oh I'm sure it was to allow the restaurants to get more prepared for the masses
  13. Same, although I've won some on the slots, so not all bad. Wife and I went into Oxford casino (15min away) once and threw $20 into a slot. Not one spin was a "win" where you get some coins back. Every pull was a loss. Walked out in <5min.
  14. And just like that, mask and capacity restrictions are being lifted May 24. Guess she wasn't going to go against CDC, although why wait another 2 wks?
  15. I'll bet sooner than Mills up here

  19. 24 hr post 2nd PFZ shot. Slight headache last night before before. Got up at 5am to go to gym, but after b-fast, still felt groggy, went back to bed for couple hrs. At work now. Feel decent, but not 100%.
  20. I keep hearing this like it's an excuse not to even apply because someone thinks some jobs are beneath them, acting like a spoiled little kid. What's the problem with flipping burgers, working as a cashier, waitress, etc? A job is a job for a lot of people that puts food on the table. If someone is complaining about not being able to get a job, but refuses to apply to said jobs, then they get no sympathy from me. Get off your ass and make an effort. The latest news up here is federal assistance with high speed internet to those that can't afford it. Supposed to be more federal assistance due to the pandemic that will be given out till the money (tax payers) runs out and/or the pandemic emergency is declared over. wtf! One more reason to just sit at home and get paid.
  21. We shouldn't have needed to face a pandemic to get people off their asses, stop eating crap food and exersising and taking better care of themselves. How many deaths would have been spared?
