very much agree with this and like you said, not one mention on msm about correlation between being less healthy and covid risk and how we as a society should take better care of ourselves, but then that's a whole different conversation.
Not to mention those that are fearful of anything genetic including those that think the covid vax takes over and/or rewrites (this was posted on reddit) your DNA. If they understood that getting infected with any virus be it flu, cold virus, etc, exposes the body to so much viral genetic material during virus uncoating, they might not be so concerned about it.
By why only 2-3 days and not 5 days? I think you're going to say to decrease chance of infection due to fewer days people are exposed, similar to how some schools have done this. But, where's the data that shows that anything less than M-F in-person leads to fewer outbreaks and infections?
The maine online vax sign up is log jammed. Every time I try to get a slot, the sites either crash or show an appt time, but by the time you fill out your name and such, it says appt is not avail. Wonder how many people will say f-it.
this is just the beginning. I'm sure a lot of the remote, work-from-home folks that have been vaccinated still won't feel safe and make a case they should be able to stay home forever.
Being courteous though makes them believe they can spread the virus from them to me. Works both ways. Just wish people had more common sense under conditions like that. Neither party is getting infected 30' apart going in opposite directions Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
so is this how it's going to go? even with vaccines, we could be 6 months down the road in great condition as a country, but if someone somewhere (school, sports, etc) tests pos, we're going to postpone, quarantine, close up shop.
