Not a chance. Should have clarified masks will probably be likely at Jimmys. I'd really like to hear from Mills when she is going to increase restaurant capacity. If it's like all her other decisions, she'll wait to see what other states do then follow their lead.
lol, last summer when my wife and I were on the boat I told her we'd still be wearing masks "next summer". Here we are. Of course there's FL and TX, but I mean completely free of the mask mandate. Not happening and I really don't know when it will end
vaccinated or not, I'm more concerned about case #'s and the how some will continue to use them as evidence either the vaccines don't work, are not effective enough, not enough herd immunity, etc to further the masks, mandates, control.
See my prior posts. I acknowledged this. The technology may have been around for decades, but there's no safety data on long term risk in hundreds of millions of people. While I'm not overly concerned with prime/boost regimen, with annual booster, if it is deemed the vaccine has <12 month protective immunity, then they need to understand why, not just keep jabbing people. As a scientist I am sure they are already looking into this should immunity be somewhat short lived.
Once a year flu shot with decades of safety and tolerability using a proven technique vs relatively new mRNA technology every 6 months is pushing the line for me and I'm a vaccine guy. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
media doing what media loves to do. 10% of the covid news is usually reported as "good", then they immediately follow up with some more doom and gloom coverage to bring everyone back down. It's done on purpose.
this greatly depends on whether the immunity lasts longer than 6months. It's a wait and see at this point. If it doesn't, I'm not willing to be a pin cushion every 6 months.
Lol, wife is a flight attendant and flew the max last week. She used a piece of cardboard to cover up the "max" part as passengers were boarding Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
Makes sense. Just tired of this, but you can already see the next goalpost. "We don't know how much immunity everyone will have post vax, but out of an abundance of caution we're requiring masks and distancing." Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
And at what point does the town use science and logic to say the ordinance can be dropped? I just watched a local news story about a LTC facility where most/all residents were fully vaccinated yet they were showing everyone inside still wearing masks and distancing. I'm like WTF?. While it's fine to be polite, masking while walking by someone is pointless. The potential to get infected is virtually nill. People have a greater chance getting hit by a car Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
Nope. In the last two weeks our cases keep going up. While we're only 17% fully vaccinated you'd like to see the opposite trend. Whatever the reason (less social distancing, people not gaf, etc), it sure gives the anti-vaxers ammunition to say what's the point of getting the vaccine when cases keep going up.
I'd also look at Israel to see how infections and deaths go from this point forward. They are 50%+ vaccinated and while I don't think they have as many strains circulating, the vaccines are very effective as I think they had 250 cases in the entire country yesterday. If down the line there is a big resurgence in cases and deaths, then I'd be concerned that we're going to be playing whack a mole a long time.
