  1. Agreed. And Merry Xmas eve sir. Make the casino pay you today!
  2. And you’d think when that happens..if ever..then we would be frigid because the block is that strong giving JAX a HECS...but as modeled we are warmer than they are..will never happen but it’s bizzaro world type pattern.
  3. True. But it would do nothing for MBY. It’s every man for himself in this game. Now if that storm marched up the coast and crushed us then I would permit such blasphemy
  4. Imagine the meltdown if JAX was ahead of us in snow totals. I would need therapy.
  5. I must say Wonderdog that I didn't think todays 12z GEFS looked all that troubling. Not KU set up perfect but If I am seeing it right we never go much above normal temps and have windows below normal...that window looks cracked for NYE to maybe the 5th as WxUSAF says...since most of our winter weather comes in small windows most years anyway really cant complain...... assuming I am not off my rocker in looking at the most basic aspects such as 850 temp anomaly and h5 anomaly.
  6. Agreed. Taking a long overdue mental health break. Maybe things will look better post NYE.
  7. That has to be one of the most discouraging GEFS runs at 18z ever.
  8. Euro has a different idea. Colonel Mc Cutter
  9. Word. You speak the truth. It’s no ones fault..we have some of the smartest LR guys on the board. It’s just the cycle we seem to be in. We can’t sustain a favorable high latitude pattern long enough and our winters are almost entirely reliant on it. The NE doesn’t need it. You know this of course so I am reminding myself.
  10. One thing that remains rock solid this season is that good things are 8-10 days away. And the relax/reshuffle period is days 11-15.
  11. My god. That is an epic nightmare. Imagine if there was a forum back then. Panic room would have been a cremation room
  12. Did it snow at all after the flip? I don’t remember what happened.
  13. I remember Xmas Eve of 83. My dad had one of those vans with the slider window. I opened it on the trek to north Jersey from south Jersey to my grandmothers it froze open and we all had to drive home 60 miles on the parkway that night with the freezer door open. Good times. It was 2F
  14. Still see some weak wedging going on Xmas day. It’s become more pronounced the last couple days on the models. Keeping the real warmth at bay to our SW
  15. Seems like a set up o don’t remember seeing that often. Blocked up vice progressive up top. But if you say it’s good that’s good enough for me.
  16. That’s the part that worries me. We can get cold even really cold but establishment of cold is the long pole in the tent. Regardless, it’s nice to be at the stadium parked and tailgating ready for the game ...instead of being stuck in traffic.
  17. Roger. My biggest take away from that run was there is cold around on our side of the planet if that is even nearly correct it’s real cold. So I am optimistic. If this was the cake we were baking that would be the flour.
  18. Still not a flake of snow as it looks now. But if we wanted cold on our side of the world it’s there on this run. Hey it’s not pac puke so we take it.
  19. 468dM cold in East central Canada post 300h. Impressive.
  20. And that h5 pattern looks to continue as the run progresses. That is a solid high up there. This looks really good to me. It should keep us cold if nothing else. I hope I am right about this enthusiasm
  21. I like what I see h5 post 240h on GFS in the Atlantic. Big strong high pushing toward Greenland. I think that’s what we want.
  22. There must be some weak wedging going on Xmas eve/day based on the temp profile on GFS.
  23. Yes. My grass is finally brown-ish. Today would have been a great Xmas day. Cloudy and 40.
  24. man that was pretty. Last time a map like that verified at my house was Jan 2016. If that had held imagine the forum vibe today.
  25. Is the EPS on board with good stuff happening?
