  1. Nice to see flowers a little closer to where they belong. Snowdrops bloomed on Saturday, first crocus on Monday. Daffodils should pop on Friday next week.
  2. At TT H144 it looks good. Northern stream lobe a bit further back, southern stream a touch slower, antecedent confluence stronger keeping heights dampened.
  3. Yes but is that change correct or noise. Here's the last six runs and we can see some buckling of the northern stream jet but it really takes tonight's 00z run to bring home the bacon. I want it.
  4. Dewpoints 10-15F across NJ away from the water, and they wet bulbed down to 30F South of the AC Expressway as precip slid in. Bodes well for frozen .... Something. As Forky said, soundings are your friend. Dewpies
  5. If we eliminated feelings posts we'd lose half the Boards activity including pretty much the entire Libertybell catalogue
  6. Oh goodness there's been so many stops along the road. AmericanWx USAwx 33/rain EasternUS severeWx Wright-Weather (the DT vs. meteotrade fights... I'd pay money to live through those again) And I've only heard about some predecessor called vistawx maybe?
  7. If you reduced by just 50% the number of times you post just to tell us what kind of weather you prefer, the world will be a better place.
  8. What I think we are seeing on this board are two groups of people- those who long for the glory days of KUs ten years ago and those who are just happy to be better than the morass of the last two winters. I'm much more in the latter camp. I'd be interested to see if there's an age or even political affiliation correlation to which camp you fall into.
  9. Yes, with pace of life faster than ever, I love the forced pause a heavy snow brings upon everyone.
  10. GFS trending towards a near miss Tuesday next week. Rex signature getting a little rexier (sexier?) allowing the northern stream to dig.
  11. Snow squall warning to your north
  12. I have always considered the NWS to be the gold standard of forecasting and posts for lulz that look like they came from random internet kid weather page diminishes the brand. The graphic numbers shared is disappointing, I'm glad they took it down, and I hope they carry their office with the decorum and respect theyve earned and deserve going forward.
  13. What's Cioffi up to these days? He was the backup to Alan Kasper on 1015 growing up, and is a better forecaster than Dan Zarrow, but I haven't heard much from him.
  14. Why would folks "try to make a mass hysteria?" You just said yourself this is anomalous.
  15. Watch the HRRR steal your rain right before your eyes!
  16. Not for us grape growers, as @Big Jims Videos pointed out!
  17. It will be interesting if we get an early Frost and leaf fall, what that will mean for trees and shrubs if shallow rooted hardwoods don't get a drink for the last 45 days of the growing season. As others have noted there's a corridor in between Flemington and Princeton that have missed almost all the rain this summer, and now this. Hopewell-Montgomery area starting to look like the moon.
  18. And just like that the GFS12z says it doesn't rain the entire length of the run. Cool, cool
  19. This is the third straight mid/late week timeframe where the models had several runs suggesting serious rainfall for NJ/NYC. The first two did not materialize, the ridge won out. Next Wed-Thu we will try again.
