That was a rare soaker rain. Which I appreciated not just because of the drought but because I've got no downspouts on the house due to some home renovations.
I saw pictures from all over the area of the aurora. yet I drove 10 minutes down the road to get away from as much light pollution as possible, and saw absolutely nothing.
Ended up with 1.88" of precip on the day with about 0.6" of that falling as snow or just that slop that came and went after it warmed up mid afternoon.
2.55" on the week. Great start to spring.
Best I can guess is 2" here. I had 1.91" of liquid precip since Thursday night and 1.22" of that today until things froze up so we'll see what gets added to that when it melts.
Up to an inch of rain on the day, but temps up to 36. Unless another shot of cold air shows up (and HRRR still insists on it), this is an ugly east coast-style "cold and rain" event.

Just teasing snow and about an inch for me. That puts me about 75" for the season and a foot more than last winter.
Onto spring...
