Up here in Bowling Green in Caroline county we probably have between 3-4 inches so far. Route 301 is just 1 lane up here. It is a mess.

Yep, weaker initial wave will keep it more snowy in northern parts of AKQ. I was surprised by the 12z Euro.

So easy to see the 12z GFS is caving towards the EURO. Big shift north, it will continue.

I agree with your sentiments. I do think though that the far northern areas of AKQ-Wakefield-like the areas I mentioned above (Caroline/Western Hanover/Fluvanna) do cash in many times while just to our south, Richmond and vicinity get nothing. Seems to me that south of Ashland, it gets really HARD to get a good snowstorm.

I keep saying this and it frustrates us all the same: Models show about 10 days out an epic solution, we grab hold to it and watch it disappear right before our eyes. I do think next week northern parts of the AKQ area-Louisa, Caroline, Fluvanna areas may sneak in a couple inches of snow and ice but even there rain.

Yep just like that it all shifted north. Pattern not there for what models were showing. Probably be mainly rain at this point.

I really don't want to be a debbie-downer but I just have that gut feeling that this will all trend north. 18z GFS is a beauty for Central VA though.

What a disaster. The cold air chasing precipitation never works around here. Outside of the Miller B to weeks ago, this great pattern has been garbage. Can't find a Miller A that can deliver ever around here. Back to drought watch it seems.
