Picked up 0.69” overnight from the storms here in Lebanon. .

Ended with 0.59” of rain last night in Lebanon. A few flashes of lightning and some rumbles but overall uneventful here. As noted, much needed rain. Running about 5” behind around here .

It is amazing that in 2025 there could be such a difference in patterns portrayed for week 2 between the GFS and Euro. The GFS says temps in the 30s and Euro says 70s-80s next week…wild! Whats a difference of 50 degrees among friends?! .

As JB posted this morning, if the GFS is alone, toss it. If the Euro agrees and its within 5 days, it has merit .

6z GFS refuses to back down. Either sniffing out the greatest winter run of spring storms or is lost, again .

Sadly, the GFS has been awful this winter with rumored storms that never happened. Probably printed out close to 100” of virtual snow for me but my season is at around 22” in reality .

An under-performer yesterday here in Lebanon. The line had a hard time making to the east of the river and we didnt even measure our first precip until about 9PM! Even the short range meso-models were well overdone for eastern counties as I ended with only 0.56” in the bucket .

The usually reliable NAM suite that sniffs out backdoor fronts and temperature busts with cold air damming situations surprisingly did terrible yesterday and today. Prior runs all showed cloudy and temps stuck in the 40s for most east of the mountains for yesterday and today. Meanwhile, mostly sunny and 56° here in Lebanon. A rare bust as normally its the other models too warm .

A glorious 65° here in Lebanon. Good chance to hit 70 tomorrow. As bummed as I am we didnt snag “the big one” this winter, after tons of potential, I am ready for spring and consistent warm weather now. My parents live in Florida and was 86° there yesterday fishing on their dock and I was very jealous! .

Heavy snow shower has broken out here in Lebanon. 22° and blowing sideways .

12z 12km NAM just cannot help itself lol bombs the low into the 960s off NE coast. Oddly the 3km NAM is way weaker and more offshore. Typically the 3km is more bullish versus the 12km .

I remember the 3k NAM kept nailing me run and after with over 30” of snow when no other model came close. I ended with 31” .

37° here in Lebanon and fog. Temp likely will spike some when the front and line comes through but I doubt it spike into the 50s around here .

Lets not forget, the GFS and Euro Ensembles 7-10 days ago were run-after-run showing an onslaught of snowstorms and a widespread 25”-40” of snow cover throughout the entire area from last weekend through next weekend. If this week is a dud, it would be an incredible bust on multiple ensemble systems for February. For me in Lebanon, I am at about 3” of snow since February 7th .
