  1. That -114 cannot be right. Is there a database to find these stats? Haven't been able to find one.
  2. Anyone know what New Yorks is? Having trouble finding that stat.
  3. Congrats on the forecast and the great storm. Were you measuring hourly? You were updating your total every hour on the forums. Isn't it supposed to be 6 hour increments? I got scolded back in Nov 2014 for doing measurements every 4-5 hours.
  4. Intellicast radar works for Erie as well as cod dupage radar. There is still some spotty coverage though.
  5. I’ve been following their radar since the early season big events. They’re definitely over estimating based on what I’ve seen. Radar showed very little for Erie airport and they’re reporting totals higher than other places in which should of had more. They must have gotten a new met to measure this year.
  6. http://wivb.com/2018/01/17/38-foot-high-ice-mountains-seen-on-lake-erie-shore/
  7. Are we talking a big time outbreak? or run of the mill type spring central plain stuff? Either way can't wait to finally have some severe action!
  8. It really isn't the sun angle yet. By March the suns angle starts to play a big role. One of the Tugs biggest event ever was Feb 3rd-12th 2007. 143" in 10 days.
  9. Lots of shear right now. Later tonight that should relax into tomorrow.
  10. That is an awesome band across your area and looks to continue until tomorrow. Wouldn't be surprised at some 2' totals. Congrats guys!
  11. I think you guys in northeast Ohio overperform this week. The set-up is great.
  12. Did Cleveland NWS and Buffalo NWS decide together to move the reporting station from the waterfront to another location? Both of them did it in 1940. Was it just a coincidence?
  13. No ice, there is always a shot with an open lake of a decent LES event.
  14. What an awesome band, enjoy people at the other side of the lake!
  15. Really solid band near Cleveland. They just issued a short term forecast alert, but it needs an advisory. A LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND FROM DOWNTOWN EASTWARD TO MAYFIELD HEIGHTSWILL CONTINUE THE REMAINDER OF THE MORNING...GREATLY REDUCINGVISIBILITY AND ACCUMULATING AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOWWHERE THE HEAVIEST SNOW SHOWERS PERSIST EAST OF CLEVELAND. USECAUTION WHEN DRIVING.
  16. I want some videos of this monster fellas. You better take a glory stroll through the heaviest rates.
  17. Any threads for predicting snow totals in the big cities. Would be fun to see who wins.
  18. Boston is going to get 30+. Living through you guys with this one. Going to be EPIC!
  19. There is some good in this pattern. The lake has no ice and it will probably warm up the next week or so. We will have the entire month of January with an open lake, and that is when we usually get the most arctic air. Last year by January 5th the lake was 70% frozen. The lake is still in the 40s up on the northeastern portion.
  20. Yeah euro looks good for you guys with the wrap around snow.
  21. Temps aren't really cold enough for lake effect behind this storm.
