  1. Yes no greenland blocking pushing it north, but very weak blocking pushing it south. I was referencing the NAO.
  2. I want proof, can't just pull up a map of snowfall totals. That model is so bad it's not even listed on the model verification score page.
  3. Only the Icon had it from far out in time? Highly doubt that.
  4. There is no blocking, that's why it's going SE with each run.
  5. That model should be banned from here, I've never seen it predict a storm correctly.
  6. GEFS are close wolf, looks like a transfer. We watch.
  7. Definitely agree, they are not handling things well at all. With a negative EPO we always have a chance as the cold air will be close.
  8. In other news the Bills are 8-3, game was amazing. Who cares about weather as long as the Bills keep winning!
  9. AO going really positive Same with NAO, we also lose the +PNA. In other words very warm weather coming after the brief cool down. Early/Mid December likely torches. https://www.esrl.noaa.gov/psd/forecasts/reforecast2/teleconn/forecast.html
  10. Yeah even the lake effect is withering away to a small event. However, most predicted a warm December. We just had the coldest November on record I believe and a huge head start with that snowstorm.
  11. Going to Bills game today, huge game! 8-3! 40 and sunny is perfect conditions aside from a lake snow storm.
  12. We get pacific help but the NAO and AO going positive is a quick shot at arctic air and then reload. Until we get some Atlantic help it's unlikely to happen. Even more so for those that need a SW flow. Need some blocking to retrograde the low back to near Hudson bay. Earlier runs were showing that, but there is nothing to prevent the lows from traveling right and out through the Atlantic with no blocking. We will get some colder air due to -EPO +PNA Neutral WPO but it will be quick hitting. Up/Down pattern.
  13. That along with them being in the predominant storm track last few years.
  14. This isn't good. https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/precip/CWlink/daily_ao_index/ao.shtml
  15. It was actually in Troy, NY. I believe that is close to Knox? It was at a Hotel. It was a central location for the Northeast.
