It's 60 degrees out at 8:30 am on 1-11.

Tonights runs look like all NW flow LES if there is any, setups dont look good. The source of cold air is too far east. Would be a better setup for synoptic chances.

We need this one to lay the base for the next few weeks of snow. A nice wet snowstorm would be nice.

The real question is how does Rochester have 49" of snow. They've added like 10" this week.

Speaking of me time. I know its an old show but just finished season 1 of Dexter and am obsessed. Can't wait to go home and start season 2. Does anyone have any good shows they would recommend? I just finished Mindhunter and Dark which were fantastic.

I work in retirement and its tough to see the older ones with no kids as sometimes they have no one to take care of them and start to get dementia. But having someone to take care of you is no reason to have kids. If I ever did have them I think I am going to stick to one. We both work full time and like having the freedom as you mentioned. My typical day is work, gym, eat/shower, netflix, video games. We go on 3-4 trips a year too. My entire lifestyle would have to change if we were to have children. I do think I am going to have one though in the next few years. 1 kid and a few dogs is good for me. When and if I do have one, he/she is going to be the biggest weather weenie east of the rockies.

GFS has a storm next weekend and a week long LES event afterwards.

Mine is a rescue as well. We have no idea what he is aside from the obvious black lab. His mom is a cattedog and has red fur, looks nothing like him at all. Obviously his dad had to be a lab. We need to do the DNA test to find out.

I've been married 10 years with no kids. We are both 32 and have to decide pretty quickly if we are having any or not. Spent the last 10 years traveling the world which has been amazing. Kids are a ton of work, even though I don't have any I can see how much work they are. Most of my friends do not have any, its a different generation than our parents.

I don't remember anyone getting one together. Me and Westerly have met up for chases several times and have become good friends, even borrowed his ladder to paint my stairway. Chases are fun, but chases with fellow weather weenies are the best. I remember us pulling over in the middle of no where jumping into a 4 foot pile of snow. Normal people don't get the same way with snow. Would be cool to get a dinner during a lake effect event.

This is the EPS and only 10 days out, right at the tail end of its wheel house. Most other guidance is hopping on board with this look too with MJO cycling into phase 7. If you get the cold, the snow will come. Especially with 40 degree lakes. I expect the pattern to start changing around the 19-21st. A few days later then last year.
