  1. Definitely. Think we had like 40" total that year. 2011-12 was the worst winter in record keeping history in Western NY, going back a century. https://www.weather.gov/buf/wintersummary1112
  2. If you combine round 1 and 2 it would be 9.5", my highest is 10.2" from November storm. At 62.1" on the season so far.
  3. I've had two lake effect events this year, the lowest in my lifetime here in WNY. Just no cold air aside from Nov/Early Dec. Still not doing terrible due to synoptic, but definitely an odd year.
  4. Over 62" on the year, if we have a good rest of Feb and March I may be able to snag 100".
  5. We will go back to other thread as main thread for winter talk and keep this one just for the storm. Some LES potential too next few weeks.
  6. Just eyeballing but around 3-4” new here storm total. The first storm was much better.
  7. As OSU mentioned, this is most likely why. "It's a wave ripping up an existing baroclinic zone so it's not as intense as the slp implies. It's not like a single low exploding to the south and tracking to the ne." It's a different setup on what usually happens in going further NW within 24 hours.
  8. I want enough ice like we had back when I was a kid in the city, forget which year. But me and my dad ice skated around the neighborhood.
  9. Nothing better then floating in my pool with a Corona listening to some chill music after a day at work. If you don't enjoy that, something is wrong.
  10. Almost 1/2" of ice in Alleghany county, pretty big time ice. I would say close to 1/4" here of ice. https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&product=PNS&issuedby=BUF
  11. Yep, lot's of moisture in the deform band with lake enhancement as it heads SE. https://weather.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html?id=CASET
  12. That's amazing, definitely the highest snowfall rates I've seen in a synoptic storm in years. I don't even remember one that matches those rates. VERY rare in Upstate. Take it all in fellas and ladies!
  13. You mean the ones that ran 12 hours ago, they all played catch up.
