People that work in restaurants don't get health insurance, people who are self employed many times don't have it due to the costs, many part time employees that work 2-3 jobs don't even get offered it. These are some of the 28 million. They still make a decent living but to receive insurance on their own as their employee won't subsidize it, it makes it impossible to pay the rest of their essential bills. I know medicaid pays for the VERY poor people of this country. But many people work extremely hard and still don't get offered insurance. My mom was a waitress for 20 years raising us, and never got offered health insurance.

Is funny to me how I'm listening to this interview with Pence and Trump talking about how nobody should be responsible for covering the costs of Coronavirus. We are currently at the mercy of the medical insurance industry to waive the costs. It looks like Cigna, Aetna, and Humana have said they would waive all fees associated with the virus and they "encourage" other companies to follow suite. All the while 28 million people are uninsured and if they get cancer or break a leg, well screw them... They basically just admitted that democrats are correct in that medical care is a human right.

Yeah, everyone is in a different situation. You should always have at least a 6 month emergency fund for situations like we have now. Also should pay off any high interest rate debt. Then after this look into investing. Dollar cost averaging usually works in the long run for people that are not too risky. But I always try to up my contributions when the stock market drops if I am able to. The definition of a recession is negative GDP for 2 quarters, a depression is negative GDP for 6 quarters. April is the worst month of the year for me. It's why I try to make it my main travel month. 40s/windy/rain is literally the worst.

I would give this winter a D as well. No lake effect events, biggest storm was 10.3" in November. Pretty lame. It was close to an F actually due to lake effect events. But I have to save the F for 2011-2012 type winters. Finished the season at 79.3". The lowest since I've started recording in Hamburg in 2013-14

A good friend of mine from the gym has the Coronavirus. He is 25 and in incredible shape, travels all over the world hiking. He just sent me a video of him breathing and holy **** this is no joke. His grandma and his mom have it. His grandpa died a month ago from pneumonia (didn't get tested for the Corona)

His grandma is in hospital right now. He is on day 6, his mom on day 9. His mom went to hospital yesterday.
