  1. A friend of mine got it pretty bad in March for 2 weeks and just completed one of the hardest hikes in the northeast with no effects to his lungs. Some good news for the day.
  2. Hit 85 yesterday and we have officially broken the record for the warmest month in the history of Buffalo. We didn't just beat the record, we destroyed it by +1.4 degrees. 5. I believe NY is at 50% capacity as of 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure if we will see the full effects for a little bit of that. Gyms, movie theatres, concerts, and sporting events are still not happening. Everything else is going and bars and restaurants are packed outside. The real test is when the temperatures start cooling down in 1-2 months. I think we have a tough time here in winter if kids go back to school especially.
  6. There is quite a bit of shear so I don't expect it to get too strong. It's also moving very quickly.
  7. Everything has been opened for awhile here in New York. Indoor dining has been open with no spikes. I think it has to do with mask wearing here. It's extemely rare to see someone not use one. I went to a restaurant yesterday and it was so organized. 6 feet apart to order, everyone wearing a mask inside and outside. Even going for a walk along the water people were conscious to stay 6 feet apart walking by.
  8. My bad, didn't see. I deleted it. It would explain quite a bit in how places are nearly fully open in hard hit states for 2 months without an increase in cases. One could conclude that it is making its way across the country.
  9. Not your fault. There wasn't even a slight risk for severe. That thing had some crazy rotation for 15-20 minutes though.
  10. Could be huge https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/30/health/t-cells-coronavirus-study-wellness/index.html
  11. Right now I believe we are the 3rd warmest summer on record. We will see what August brings. It looks quite a bit cooler.
  12. We had a high of 77 on the 13th. I'm not sure if that is above normal for the date. That day messed up the 80+ streak too. https://w2.weather.gov/climate/getclimate.php?wfo=buf
  13. The heat wave of 1921 https://realclimatescience.com/2018/05/the-incredible-heatwave-of-1921/ https://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2012/09/16/1921-earth-had-a-fever-2/
  14. Don't get too excited. Last year I was swimming in Mid October with high 80s. I don't really complain about any type of weather. I really do enjoy all 4 seasons. If I had to pick my least favorite it would be spring.
  15. Don't think it was posted but over 7" of rain in those storms 2 day ago. NEW YORK ...Niagara County... Hartland 2.03 143 PM 7/27 Social Media ...Orleans County... Medina 7.03 1024 PM 7/27 Storm Total 4 E Medina 5.27 810 PM 7/27 Storm Total 2 NW Albion 5.10 400 PM 7/27 Storm Total
  16. I think what he meant was that only around 20% of people actually got furloughed/laid off and collected Unemployment. The rest of us continued to work and not much has changed as of yet. We have actually received more money with the $1200 checks. Many people including me had designated funds set aside for vacations. Mine were New Zealand/Norway this year. I am using that money to make home improvements instead. Many others are likely doing the same.
  17. His tenants are too lazy to do something like this. He gave them this paperwork and nothing has come of it yet.
  18. My dads tenants haven't paid rent since March. He is struggling. Something needs to be done to help out.
  19. You should see the stock buybacks and ceo bonuses from the 2008 buyouts. We personally paid for millions of bonuses for failed greedy management teams in sub prime lending. Completely mind blowing how that is legal.
