  1. Now we know who to blame. Tug hills birth on this recent trend.
  2. Whens the last time a Dec, Jan, Feb landed us in the top 5 coldest winters ever? 2013-2014 was cold, but did it rank? Good article from WGRZ in relation to our local climate and its warming https://www.wgrz.com/article/weather/how-weather-records-are-changing-in-buffalo/71-521656404
  3. Chicago had its warmest summer ever. Many places in the midwest and northeast did. That buffalo figure is as off Aug 30th. After yesterday we're likely 72.8 or 72.9. 2nd warmest summer ever. https://wgntv.com/weather/meteorological-summer-of-2020-ends-as-the-warmest-on-record/ https://www.pennlive.com/weather/2020/09/2020-was-the-hottest-summer-ever-in-harrisburg-several-other-pa-cities.html https://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/topstories/buffalos-summer-on-track-to-be-one-of-the-warmest-on-record/ar-BB18tM2X
  4. With August officially over. Buf ended August with a +3.9 departure. Not sure where this ranks for warmest summers ever. June +.8 July +6.5 Aug + 3.9
  5. The earth is warming and its getting quicker...We may never have another good winter again. Just insane stuff in this post.
  6. I know this is the case due to excess deaths, but that is not an excuse to label something covid that isn't. If my mom got Covid next week and died, her death certificate would be covid. It would not be stage 4 cancer, which makes no sense. I see multiple death certs on my desk each week, and have a few friends that work in hospitals that have seen this occur as well. It's not just reading a few news articles.
  7. Foreclosure law firms aren’t. You’re not allowed to evict tenants or file lawsuits in New York State at all. My dads tenants haven’t paid rent in 6 months and he can’t do one single thing about it.
  8. Ty for the kind words, the key is to always keep a positive mindset! In regards to Covid. I honestly don’t know what is going on. My friend in California had all symptoms for 8 days. He tested negative twice. He got the antibody test a few weeks later and he had antibodies. Another person I know had all the symptoms for 2 weeks 102+ fever and tested negative twice and third test was positive. The testing sucks. There are so many unknowns. I’ve had several clients tell me stories of friends or relatives dying of cancer, heart attack, etc and it being reported as Covid. The numbers are 100% being manipulated. A client from Florida knew someone that passed and the family fought the Covid on the death certificate and won. https://nbc25news.com/news/local/cdc-94-of-covid-19-deaths-had-underlying-medical-conditions
  9. My wifes entire law firm might close down. They're firing almost everyone. 200+ employees in 5 states. I'm so done with covid lockdowns and the destruction its causing. Open up everything.
  10. Anyone worried about fall/winter? What is everyone expecting? Cases/Deaths per day? Do we all get locked down again? My wifes entire law firm is closing due to Covid. 200+ employees and offices in 5 states. I'm so done with covid lockdowns and the destruction its causing. It's easy for people with stable jobs to say lock everything down. But the PPP has dried up and the $600 is gone. Open up everything.
  11. Felt like autumn today. This isn't good. Watch us go into a cold pattern Sep-Nov and then warm Dec-Feb...You just know it's coming. We've been stuck in a warm pattern June-August. It was cold for April-May. Patterns tend to stick for awhile.
  12. So we canceled our trip on Saturday to Dacks, but have off Monday so heading up tomorrow with the wife and dog to do Street and Nye. Will be my 15th peak and my dogs 10th! Here are one of the trails someone posted summer vs winter on reddit. Made me excited to do some mid winter high peaks. The snow depth up there is insane!
  13. Cameron got pretty much wiped out completely. Lake Charles is going to take years to recover. Highest storm surge was 17 feet.
  14. I thought it almost lived up to its strength. 30 miles inland recorded gusts of over 135 Mph in Lake Charles. It was a "non event" because of where it hit. If you look at google maps, its all marshland. Its like a hurricane hitting the everglades. It would cause very little damage.
  15. At 412 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Erie Basin Marina, or near Buffalo, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
  16. This severe looks like mainly central NY into Southeast NY
  17. That entire coastline is going to be permanently reshaped. Lots of marsh lands around that area. It's going to look totally different after this.
  18. I expect surge in the 20-30' range and inland up to 30 miles. Pretty incredible stuff. Luckily it's not too populated.
  19. WNY has highest infection rate in the state at this moment.
