  1. How do they come up with the yearly flu estimates? Don't they use excess deaths in nations that are poorer?
  2. Excess deaths globally are not 6-8 times the worst flu seasons. It would have to be between 3,900,000-5,200,000. Those are the facts.
  3. News at 11, people die when they get sick. We're all going to die my friend. https://www.who.int/news-room/detail/14-12-2017-up-to-650-000-people-die-of-respiratory-diseases-linked-to-seasonal-flu-each-year
  4. Globally the worst flu years have killed up to 650k people. What will we be at by end of year 1-1.2 million? It's not 6-8 times worse globally. You cannot simply use USA as a dataset. USA outbreak has been far worse then global death rates. https://www.who.int/news-room/detail/14-12-2017-up-to-650-000-people-die-of-respiratory-diseases-linked-to-seasonal-flu-each-year
  5. I don't see how you think it isn't politically driven though. Vaccine by Nov 1st (election Nov 3) I mean look at Pelosi with no mask in the salon. Covid is most certainly a bad illness. 2-4 times worse then the yearly flu. However, states are keeping businesses closed and not allowing them to operate freely and PPP has dried up. The repercussions of this are going to be far worse than the illness itself. If they want to keep things locked down, they have to give businesses and the people money to stay locked down. Cuomo is destroying this state worse then he already has.
  6. The Flu can contribute to death sooner, but it's never listed on a death cert.
  7. You'll be getting the vaccine in early Nov than? You really trust it by then?
  8. It might not be systematic, but it shouldn't happen at all. It's far too prevalent to list someone as a COVID death that died from several years of battling cancer... Like I said you work in Met. I see death certs on my desk and speak to family members in which this occurred. I know more about this than you do. You cannot trust the media and even the CDC is at times being controlled by the government.
  9. Science is being mixed with political motives. I mean you really think a safe vaccine is going to be ready by Nov 1st? Every medical professional I spoke to including someone with a PHD in pharm says that is virtually impossible. The CDC is pushing a vaccine by Nov 1st. You think this isn't politically motivated? The election is Nov 3rd...What a coincidence... https://news.yahoo.com/cdc-tells-states-prepare-distribution-231945460.html
  10. What happened in May of this year was even crazier as the snow accumulated. Not just a flake.
  11. First flake history for Buffalo and Rochester EARLIEST EVER First Flake Sep 20, 1956
  12. The only years that are uniform for a specific type of Enso are strong Ninos. They are virtually all warm all winter long.
  13. Most Ninas feature earlier winters. There is actually a really high correlation. Right now the forecast is for Colder then normal Nov/Dec, Normal January, and above average Feb/March. I would take that all day.
  14. Some crazy cold showing up across the midwest. Snow in the forecast for Colorado and SD
  15. No timeline in regards to the $300. This state is a joke. https://cbs6albany.com/news/coronavirus/nysdol-says-wait-on-300wk-unemployment-benefit-partly-due-to-number-of-claimants
  16. We can agree to disagree. Covid deaths are definitely handled differently due to the Cares Act. https://www.kgw.com/article/news/investigations/questions-over-the-accuracy-of-how-the-state-tracks-covid-deaths/283-0b1b7b6c-695e-4313-92cf-a4cfd7510721
  17. Yep. People think global warming takes centuries to see. It's going so fast that you can just look at that graph and be blown away. In a century, average temps in Buffalo will be up several degrees. (1940-2040)
  18. 2012 is such a massive anomaly. What in the world caused that?
  19. Yes, but I'm talking about coldest winters overall. 2014-2015 was not even in the top 20 I don't believe despite the cold Feb. ( I could be wrong) Look at the average temps throughout the decades. I know 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 were cold winters. Not sure where they both rank though. https://www.weather.gov/buf/BUFtemp
