    Yeah that seems really dumb to me. You know how much snow compacts in 24 hours? I prefer at least every 12, 6 might be a little too much but I measured 56" and have 43" on the ground. Seems about right to me with compaction.

    Very wet lake effect, not normal fluff. Early season events are in the 1:12-1:16 range. Ratios are increasing.

    Isn't 6 hour measurement the official way to measure? When I took my cocarahs training I believe thats what it was.

    Yep the more snow falls the more it compacts. This also isn't the typical dry LES, its very wet. Snow depth is 35-40" in my backyard.

    KBUF missed the boat on this forecast. They trusted the RGEM and expected thermal troughing too much in the forecast. HRRR nailed it.

    Yeah I'd say I'm pretty close to the jackpot zone. Band looks stationary. I expect over 70" before it drifts north, then drifts south later tomorrow.

    I don't know how any of the licensing stuff works. I'm just trying to document it as best I can. I love looking back at memorable events. Any recommendations?
