  1. That has to be the highest recorded snowfall rate in a synoptic event in Buffalos history.
  2. You can see where the sleet line is on these cams https://www.nittec.org/cameras/?
  3. Its really heavy but doesnt come out that way on camera. Still epic stuff ...AN AREA OF HEAVY SNOW WILL AFFECT PARTS OF ONTARIO...LIVINGSTON... WYOMING...ORLEANS...WAYNE...GENESEE...MONROE...NIAGARA...AND NORTHERN ERIE COUNTIES... HAZARDS...An area of EXTREMELY heavy snow which can rapidly reduce visibility to less than a quarter of a mile. This area of heavy snow is producing extremely heavy snow at the rate of over 4 inches inches per hour. LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 1250 AM EST, the leading edge of the heavy snow was from Niagara Falls to Brockport moving north at 20 MPH.
  4. Let it be known that Miller As almost always go figure NW than modeled in the last 1-2 days and even in real time. Not sure why, convection chasing? The NAM caught on quickest.
  5. Incredible band, highest synoptic snowfall rates I've seen here. Still nothing compares to the 6"+ per rates in Nov of 2014 but this was insane!
  6. Right around 7" snow is now mixing a little with sleet
  7. Mix now showing up in most of southern erie county https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?parms=BUF-N0C-0-6-100-usa-rad
  8. I recorded over 4" in one hour as those red returns moved over my house. Was just puking massive dendrites.
  9. Same, they were the largest snowflakes I've ever seen. Perfect for accumulating quickly.
  10. Snow is now mixing with sleet here but mainly snow. Closing in on 7”
  11. Look at that band back building as it moves north, if that stays all snow we are in for a record breaker around WNY
  12. I measured over 4" in one hour as that band moved through.
  13. The intense rates are fighting off the sleet https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?parms=BUF-N0C-1-6-100-usa-rad
