  1. I am definitely seeing some commutageddon scenario with this one. Obviously not as bad as the 2011 storm but with the heaviest stuff coming 2-6 pm it could get ugly.
  2. Also the sun won’t be nuking the accumulation since were still at near a minimum of solar radiation.
  3. Wow! Imagine this actually turned into a legit event in the middle of our craptastic pattern. I guess if there's any time of the year when we we can make 33-34 work it's early January.
  4. Really a shame that low just sits and rots in the GOM on the 12z Euro....would've been nice if there was something to bring it up the coast.
  5. Nice euro run, solid minor event for all. Let’s do this!
  6. This has to be one of the coldest November’s on record. In my 11 years in dc I can’t remember any without a major warm stretch of 60s/70s.
  7. Would probably be dropping/steady temps through the day on Thanksgiving which would be nice if it actually happened.
  8. Some pretty robust looking snow showers on the radar look to be dropping into Frederick now. Maybe some quick drops in visibility?
  9. Looks a lot like cold chasing precip on the Euro for us.
  10. Not as good as 6z but still very nice for November. Would sign on the dotted line right now.
  11. Storm went poof on the euro but the 6z GFS looks like a big hit. 6z GFS snowmaps are silly, 10-12 inches for our area.
  12. Euro has DC at 18 degrees for next Wednesday morning, that would be very cold for mid November.
  13. Euro is a go for a light-moderate event with marginal temps for Tuesday. Would be fun.
  14. Wow just found out pivotal weather has the euro for free, and it loads fast. Game changer.
  15. I’m quite impressed with these pregame winds, getting some nice 30-60 second periods of sustained 25-30.
  16. That’s a lot of tornado warned storms on the NC/VA border.
  17. Winds starting to crank out in front, easily gusting 25-30+ now.
  18. Agree, but just judging by how the winds are gusting right now 20-30 mph out in front of it, it doesn’t seem like it’s gonna take much.
  19. Yuck, terrible timing. I'd rather have this come through in the afternoon then possibly have to wake the kids up and take them to the basement. (My house is surrounded by large, very old, oak trees).
