  1. Understood. Didn't mean to derail the thread, should've made my post in here instead. Looks like it's been deleted already anyway.
  2. I dunno. I've just noticed your posts aren't very nice a lot of the time and I don't see a good reason for it. People are just out here enjoying snow, no reason to come after them.
  3. @Kmlwx I don't take issue on whether @wxtrix was right about the warning criteria, that's a minor detail. I just take issue with publicly saying something mean to the person for no reason. You could just be nice and explain it respectfully.
  4. This current storm has been awesome for us. Probably getting close to 6 inches storm total just outside DC and its breezy with pure fluff falling. I am absolutely putting myself through this again lol.
  5. Just had a nice gust blow through! Probably 20-30 mph for a solid 15 seconds, actually had some blowing snow. Really wasn't expecting this today, what a pleasant surprise.
  6. Is this a norlun trough or just an outer band from the coastal?
  7. I'm not gonna try to radar extrapolate this band too much but it looks pretty healthy to me. I think you'll get another .4 at least.
  8. Definitely a fresh 1-1.5 inches with this band so far. It looks pretty decent on radar still.
  9. Man the fluff factor outside is off the charts. Probably getting close to 5 inches storm total now in Takoma Park.
  10. Moderate snow. Beautiful fluffy dendrites. Piling up. And breezy.
  11. Hahaha This is the 3rd day I’m waking up to wintry precip in a row. Gimme a coastal sitting off ocean city any day.
  12. I guess this is the inverted trough feature the models were keying in on.
  13. Got about 4 inches right on the DC/MD border. Northern tier of Maryland and eastern WV did quite well with a large area of 8-12 and some reports up to even 20 inches. That CCB backed into the area today and delivered.
  14. Just measured a depth of 3.5 inches on my deck. Obviously with the freezing drizzle and sleet and long duration it probably compacted a bit. Probably had about 4 inches storm total. Pretty solid for a miller B “miss”.
  15. I suspect that if I measured carefully I’d probably have close to 4 inches storm total in Takoma Park. But I didn’t and therefore have no evidence.
  16. Glad to hear Canaan valley did well. They’re over 15 inches storm total now. Always happy when that area gets a dumping.
  17. Man my parents are sending ridiculous pictures from the Hudson valley where I grew up. They’ve been getting banded for about 12 hours now. They had well over 18 inches by dark. Gonna be some gaudy numbers up in the Hudson valley and northern NJ.
  18. I grew up in yorktown, was thinking about coming up for this storm, should’ve done it. Looks ridiculous.
  19. My parents in Yorktown are sending ridiculous pics. Gotta be 18+. Anyone have any reports from around there? Every time I check the radar they’re still getting banded.
  20. My parents in Yorktown are sending ridiculous pics. No idea of the total but gotta be 18+ at this point. They’ve been getting banded for a while. Gonna be some gaudy numbers up there.
  21. Checking Dover radar a new band is developing and expanding west, hopefully that can reach out to Baltimore.
  22. Very cool event. Days of frozen. Don’t care if someone up 95 got a foot while I got 4 inches, this kinda thing is so fun.
