  1. Pretty uniform temps area wide right now, 32-34 from the northern tier of Maryland all the way down to Fredericksburg.
  2. If you look on precipitation depiction radar you see that the back edge of this first batch over dc isn’t progressing to the East much, it kinda keeps filling in. Maybe a sign it’ll link up with the new stuff coming over the mountains.
  3. It’s still Wednesday, just need a few 30 mile north shifts.
  4. The trajectory of the radar looks questionable for DC, we’ll see though.
  5. It’s been a pretty wet storm here already. Steady rates for a while now. Solid coating. If it were 5 degrees colder I bet I’d have 1.5-2 inches.
  6. Temps down to 33-34 now, you’d think we’d be able to get below freezing from here in metro DC. Now if they precip later would cooperate.
  7. That band did some work on temps. Down to 34.
  8. Takoma Park. Heavy snow here. Temp down to 36.
  9. Getting close to, if not, heavy snow. Visibility dropping.
  10. Nice burst of moderate snow in this band near DC, temp down to 37. 5 degree drop since the precip moved in.
  11. Nice steady snow, really a shame it’s 38 degrees.
  12. Looks like some yellows forming over DC, let’s see if this band can get our temps down a bit.
  13. Nice little burst of snow, big flakes, 38 degrees.
  14. Imagine if we really were gonna have 36-48 hours of snow with temps in 20s accumulating 8-12 inches like the euro showed for us on Sunday and Monday. That would be fun.
  15. 42/29 still patiently awaiting my snowstorm
  16. Euro starts off as a NASTY ice storm for Tuesday. Temps in the low 20s with a bunch of rain.
  17. Why do we have southeasterly 850 flow with a surface low off the outer banks on the Euro? Is the 850 low in a bad spot?
  18. I dunno, my area has been pretty bad this year too. I've had an inch of slop, then a few inches over 2 days during the NYC blizzard, then like a half inch of slop, now probably an inch or two of slop with this one.
  19. Just going off memory here, could be wrong, but I think this is the third event in a row where it's had the right idea first for our area.
  20. Euro caving to the NAM again. When did the NAM become so good? Was it always this good and we just ignored it?
  21. I’ll take any more to banter but working from home (virtual teaching) and being able to run errands during the day or start cooking dinner or laundry has been a pretty nice quality of life upgrade. The actual teaching element sucks so bad though, especially for my subject which relies heavily on labs (physics). Can’t wait to go back.
