    Not under any radar returns and haven’t been for a while in northern Westchester but it’s been steady moderate snow for a long time. Piling up nicely. No official measure but I’m thinking 12-14 now in Yorktown.

    It's awesome up here in Yorktown. This final band has been doing work all morning. No idea how much fell but probably around a foot with big drifts. Great storm.

    I've been living in DC for the last 11 years and I haven't been able to get back here for a storm in a while. I grew up in this area. It's so nice to be here for a cold powder bomb like this.

    Wow, what a storm in yorktown. Can’t get a proper measurement with all the drifting but I’m guessing 10-12 if not more.

    Visiting my parents house in the Hudson valley, pretty nice storm here but looks like we’re just south of the area that got nuked. Maybe 10-12 inches here with a lot of drifting. I brought my snowshoes and hiking gear, gonna drive up to the Catskills and play in the deep powder tomorrow.

    Looks like radar filling in over Putnam, orange, northern Westchester with a new band forming. Maybe that’ll be as far as the dry slot gets.

    Grew up in nyc area, came up from the dc area and visiting my parents in Yorktown. Radar looks amazing!!

    Well, decided to head up to my parents house in the Hudson Valley of NY where I grew up. Haven’t visited in about a year and I figure why not bring the kids up there for a real storm. Their house sits at about 700 feet of elevation and usually does pretty well in these kind of coastal space. Forecast is 12-18 but you never know with these things.

    @ers-wxman1 ruffling some feathers. Not surprising cause he loves to come in when the models are looking bad and get all emotional while spiking the “storm ain’t happening” football. is all I have to say about that.

    The NAMs even hoses NYC. They are forecast to get 10-16 in the city with near blizzard conditions. If they get 1-3/dryslot there are gonna be some serious weenie cliff jumpings.

    I'm actually kind of excited for this storm. Give me a few hours of steady/heavy snow during the day tomorrow then whatever happens is gravy. Dry slot would be ideal so maybe the ground is still white when it gets cold after the storm. This is a nice way to pad stats if we can do 1-3 or 2-4 on the WAA.

    I wouldn't mind thump --> mix --> rain --> dryslot. It's better than hours and hours of heavy rain at 35 degrees.
