Looks like a cohesive shield may be trying to form. hrrr doesn’t have any kind of cohesive shield until 7 for dc. Maybe we can score a coup over the short range guidance which says we’re basically done.
You can see the mason dixon line band and the skinny moco band starting to merge a bit. Maybe a larger more coherent precip shield forming over maryland?
Quick perusing of radar and those models and my conclusion is the 3k NAM matches best with current radar. This conclusion is 100% not at all biased by the highest QPF number

Models showed this just seems to be a little quicker than scheduled, which often happens. This might be the end of part 1 for those of us a little north of dc but we’ll see if we can get a little more.
Gosh it’s beautiful outside. I moved to takoma park in 2017 and this is the first cold snowstorm we’ve had here. Pretty much all the others I’ve barely had to shovel because the concrete basically melted on its own. This is great.
