Uh, that's basically what the 12z Euro is showing.
Looks like 2-4
This would be a good event. It is of course trending away from a monster and of course it could trend way suppressed but it's only Tuesday. We're in the game for a snowstorm still.

We do disaster pretty well wrt tracking winter storms, so there's that.
So far not this year….I have received about 16 inches of snow and we’re just about halfway through January.

just hang your hopes on the sampling issue...that will get you through until its sampled then panic...does beg the question where does the euro get it's sampling data or is it just better at extrapolating...or none of those
Yeah I mean we’re almost in NAM range and they’re still pretty far apart. Like I said, euro and eps have been locked in now for several runs with minimal wavering so that’s where my money goes but it certainly is edge of your seat entertainment.

Gosh we are getting close in for the euro to be this far off from everything else….my money is on gfs folding at 12z today.

Man looking at the radar and hearing the wind I feel like we’re about to get a severe thunderstorm warning.

It's almost impossible to measure. And yeah as I learned the other week, the weather here in the mountains doesn't care what the radar says.
This storm is easily on par if not better than the ones I've seen in northern NH and Vermont.
Nice looking video. I was amazed when I first moved down here and was in Davis for a storm how rowdy it gets up oh that ridge.

HRRR is high on temps. Has me at 26 at 4pm and we’re hanging out at 22. Know it won’t matter much in the end but I like being on the low side of temps.

Great event - snow in the low 20s is always a big win around here! Padding those season stats and it’s daytime to boot. #winning

22, moderate snow. You will not find me complaining about these conditions.

16/6 hrrr looks nice
Yeah it does. Solid daytime advisory level or low end warning event with cold temps to start.

Both nams are better

14 degrees in Takoma park, coldest morning in a long time. HRRR looks great, 2-4 inches of daytime snow. Let’s do this.

The return on investment of this 100+ page thread reminds me of my Blockbuster stock investment.
This storm definitely is increasing my minutes tracked per inch of snow season average.

Ah man long week, staying home with the 3 year old because his preschool is closed for COVID. At least my daughter gets to stay at kindergarten despite having COVID cases in her class because she is vaxxed.

It’s intriguing. I like seeing precip in Georgia like that.
