  1. Here we go again. Hopefully the tornado siren doesn't wake me in the middle of the night again. So we have had 3 tornado sirens the last 5 mos, and they always happen between 2-4 am. Fun.
  2. Sorry to hear about the damage. And yes, this Saturday could be ANOTHER bad wind event. I cant believe the wind we have had this year.
  3. Rain yesterday, and still going today. Chilly 43 with gusty winds. 1.4" of rain so far.
  4. An unexpected 80 with sunshine until around 2. Then filtered sun. Was only supposed to hit 72, with overcast skies.
  5. So ironically though, the Bermuda grass is coming out of dormancy quicker than normal. Strange.
  6. It seemed much colder due to the prolonged extreme cold days we had. But throw in the way above normal days we had too, and it only wound up being just a touch below normal. Definitely an odd winter for sure.
  7. Fortunately, we didn't have any tornado warnings last night. But man that wind and rain was intense! Picked up 1.4 inches of rain, gusts last night hit 45mph, with sustained winds of around 25 to 30mph most of the night and early this morning. Much calmer this morning.
  8. Wow, hard freeze for you? Gonna dip down to 31 in my location for an hour tomorrow morning. After that, looks like we probably don't get below freezing again until end of year
  9. Sounds like the piles of snow we had until April up north. By April though, they looked like big dirt piles.
  10. WOW! 67 with sunshine. Feels wonderful!
  11. Definitely did. For us in GA also. Year of extremes so far.
  12. Low of 25 at 6am, already at 42. Guessing we top our forecast high of 55 if it stays sunny all afternoon.
  13. We just hit 50 South of ATL. Took a while, but sun heated us up. 5 above forecast of 45.
  14. I have greenish Bermuda on the side of the house that gets sun all day. I also see my daylilies starting to pop out of the ground. That extremely warm last week of Jan, and 1st week of Feb really cranked up the ground temps. With a low of 17 this morning, ground temps back down to 38.
  15. 17 this morning at 7 am, already up to 25.
  16. Welp, the sun just poked out south of ATL.
  17. Overcast, with some darker clouds looking like they could drop some flurries, but nothing so far. Ironically I am filling up my new IG pool today...
  18. Is anyone sick of winter yet? I understand being snow starved, but the cold, and overcast days this year seem to be more than normal, and are depressing to me. I am ready for hopefully a nice spring.
  19. I can almost see the middle finger at the NE on this map
  20. Geez, no flies would be a blessing. My 1st summer down here in GA, and the flies are just insane.
  21. Just wet here south of ATL, as expected. Gonna be a cold couple of days starting tomorrow though. Whatever snow anyone gets, enjoy it!
  22. I will admit to being THE MOST negative here with IMBY winter is over. And yes, for me it still is, other than it being cold this next week. Further north of me though, looks snowy, although a bit iffy at this point.
