  1. Not sure how accurate Accuweather's future radar is but the rain/snow line is holding at least until 5:20 PM. Appears to be heavy rates at this time also. Hopeful to stay snow during this timeframe.
  2. We are still holding at 29 degrees, moderate/heavy snow. About 1" on the ground.
  3. I apologize, I am trying to remember with the frontogenesis, does the heavy snows occur below or on the north or south side?
  4. I think they had 6 or 7 crews going to be from say West Virginia up through New York state and I believe further north.
  5. I was looking at that too. Did you watch the loop (1 km Reflectivity with Precip) and the Low pressure is really jumping around (chasing convection?). Hour 26 goes from the coast to maybe 100 miles or so off the coast then back to the coast at hour 27. Then it stall between hour 32-38. Not sure how the low pressure jumping around affects things, but some things I noticed.
  6. Agreed! Happy with 3-6, happier with more, frown with less. Time will tell. At least we get to see some white stuff finally.
  7. I was surprised how long it took them to issue anything for Berks and Lehigh. I guess its a battle zone area at this point on the models anyway. This morning Accuweather went from 3-6 to 1-3 for this area, but earlier went back to the 3-6.
  8. At least you have something. Mt. Holly hasn't issued even a WWA for Berks or Lehigh County yet. Like Lancaster, Berks and Lehigh may be a battle ground to get anything more than a WWA.
  9. It definitely wasn't digital snow back in 1950. Remember, our parents used to walk to school, uphill in the snow. Well, at least that is what I was told. Haha.
  10. Good evening everyone! New to this site as I used to hang out a Wxdisco for many years until this year. Anybody know why Mt. Holly hasn't issued any watches yet (at least a winter weather advisory if not a winter storm watch)? I know a lot needs to be ironed out yet as the models are still differing with thermal temps and what not, but I would have thought they would have at least issued a winter weather advisory. No big deal, just curious.
  11. The trend of storms moving northwest in the days leading up to gameday have been doing this for a couple of years now. Is this trend continuing or is this just the Euro having a hiccup? Time will tell and see what the other guidance shows us.
