Well, AC yesterday and heat today. Takes a special kind of people to live in the Carolinas.

Just south of Hub City it hit 84 humid ridiculous degrees but saw the sun after 4 days of clouds and 1/2 inch of rain during the period. Wildlife acting strange today, guess they confused on what season we are in also.

I am just glad the dry spell we currently have did not occur during the July Aug with 100 degree days and 70's humidity to deal with. Hopefully a change in the pattern comes about. These model runs from day to day are depressive to say the least.

it was 98 between 3 and 4 pm on August 29th here at my residence. This morning Aug 30 as I walked out to put food for the critters, it was a heat blast of humid 75 degree air. I will be glad for cooler air to arrive and hopefully it brings some abundant rains.

First day in awhile I actually felt like I was not inside a oven. Low was 61 with high of 83 I expect Thursday to be a great early taste of fall.

LR showing triple digit heat to end out August, more 103 F air temps for a few days for the Hub City area of SC. This has been the absolute worse summer as far as high humidity ever in my 60+ years of having the pleasure of existing upon this planet. I had a lot planned to do this summer but all I wound up doing was paying utility bills, feeling miserable 24/7 because of the hostile sun making me feel as if just maybe a giant ant in the sky had targeted me with a big magnifying glass. I will embrace the Autumn and winter months and savor everyday of hopefully what will be chilly and delightful days and nights and hope that the snow drought will be broken.

last night netted me 2 inches of precious rain.

Thankfully received 1/2 inch at some point during the night but just 30 mile to my west some lucky folks got near 4 inches. Today is another day so maybe it will be my counties time to cash in on some much needed rain.

Its just plain tee miserable out there. I really feel bad for pets, cattle ,deer and all being subjected to this kinda heat and humidity.

Topped at 100F Tuesday and was the 16th day of no rain. I absolutely despise summer months and today Wednesday is forecast to be the hottest in this wave

June 26 woke up to a heavy cloud cover and 77 F just knew it was gonna come a downpour but got nothing. I pray rain returns soon to this area.

Down in Hub City the wind has began gusting within the last 45 minutes, gonna be cold working the job outside tonight.

Woke up to Columbus Day morning to low of 39F had to activate heat for the 1st time this season as temp in the old house was at 50 F but it felt colder. Today it was 50F with broken canopy for sunrise and as of 12:45pm its 74 and mostly sunny.

I wonder the same thing about all these pine cones, can't see the grass for pine cones all over the place and for what its worth the lack of spider webs the last 2 months is strange and the ones that I do find are about 3 foot off the ground and not high like usually.
