00z GFS Kuchera Clown run all the way out. Had the boys over at Hewlett Packard install the Cray at my house yesterday morning - because this was clearly run from my basement. 42" spot right over my house. Lock it in, lol. Map courtesy of Pivotal Weather.

I will choose to believe that the 3"+ zone denoted by the pink outline makes just a tiny bit further up to my house.

Didn't think I'd have to update my snow total tracker today, but here we are! Ended up with 0.6". So close to 30" on the season!

Down to 9.9⁰. Just trekked down the backyard to check the river - starting to freeze up pretty good! About 0.5" of new fluff and still snowing lightly.

Feeling very appropriately wintry.

11.2, with light to moderate snow making a for a lovely snow globe effect. Cleared surfaces are starting to get covered even though nothing is showing on radar. Who do we need to talk to in order to get the powers that be to stick a weather radar on top of Ascutney, lol? Anyone got a spare WSR-88D kicking around?

Got down to 4.6 here this morning. Still at 7.8 and breezy.

The poor Vermont coverage is even mentioned in the NEXRAD wiki page, lol. Given how awful the radar looked over my head for the duration of this event, I'm surprised I managed to snag 3.1" (high ratio fluff). Went around jamming the yard stick in the yard and averaged 11.8" for total snow depth. Even managed to push it in 90 degrees to the ground (for the most part). Please see the below table for my season's goodies thus far. (Please note listed dates are when I measured and do not necessarily reflect the start of the event.)

I guess this is what I deserve when I stated my desire to steal everyone's snow yesterday, haha. Don't want to step outside right now lest I be struck by a stray flurry.

Yeah, being to your west, I'm currently stuck in no man's land. Radar over my noggin not lookin' to good.

Absolutely terrible photo of Orion that I just off the back deck by holding my phone. The fact you can make out some of the nebulosity in the Orion nebula itself - even while through a thin cloud layer - is a testament to how far camera sensors have come over the past few years. Tis also rather cold out. At 10.6⁰.

I'm liking my location for this one. Hoping I can steal all the snow.

Not unscathed here this morning, though not terribly surprised. Hard to tell how long much snow we got, but there's 6 new inches of fresh cement on my truck.

Rather robust icicle formation on the house today. Some of those suckers are already over 40 inches long. Not a great testament to 1980's insulation practices.

Just took a bunch of measurements here in Bradford and averaged 11.2" on the ground. Also popped my New England driver cherry and put my truck in a ditch about 400 yards from my house. Only took 15 winters up here to finally manage that. Props to the gentleman in the Bronco that pulled me out. Also props to the little 4 inch pine that stopped my truck from going further into the ditch without damaging anything - just a little smooch!

3.12" total here in Bradford. See normal flow (taken 8 days ago) vs. flow this afternoon of the west branch Warner River in the backyard. Hardly any wind here in this little valley.

Ending with a few mood flakes as that last band pushes through. Here's a before and after shot of the Warner river in the backyard. First one taken yesterday afternoon and the second this morning. Roaring pretty good from the house.

1.66" of rain here. Still a little snow on the ground. Wind has picked up a little and a few flakes are starting to mix in.

Surprised to still be holding on to snow cover in the yard - especially since it slopes to the south (albeit very gently). Sitting at 36.5 degrees here in Bradford.

Nothing they can't handle, but the white pine, hemlock, (and a couple of spruce!) are getting their first snow-laden workout of the season. A good warm-up.

Have about 5.5" (compacted) here in Bradford. Wet stuff.

1.33" in the Stratus (thanks for the recommendation!). Nothing too crazy here in Bradford, just a consistent, steady rain.
