    I am going to say the tree's were saplings or new growth back then and are what are fully grown now for us. So they probably did have less canopy cover providing shade. All the tree's in and around my neighborhood were all planted when the area was built right during WW2.

    WOW, what an incredible morning coming to work. 60 degree's in Mahwah currently.

    79 degree's out. Gorgeous. Only been outside once at work and that was to check on the cook for the bbq we're having. Got bbq hook up outside to natural gas when we built this place. Lots of food. Ready for nap.

    Had to get my front mowed before it got to hot. Thank God for my locust tree that shades a good portion. Brutal out there.
