    overnight low of 1–coldest night this winter. now i am ready for it to warm up.

    squall line came through silently—last time there were house-shaking gusts and phones going off. visibility dropped to 1/4-1/2 mile vis, so moderately heavy snow. everything is white again for now.

    imagine having to waste time on learning about the ocean when all you want to know is how to make it snow

    well that was entertaining. and from a person who said he wanted to be a met major but changed because he learned he was supposed to take a bunch of courses in things like oceanography and chemistry and he was mad because he wanted to take "weather" courses.

    light snow for about 30 mins now.

    it's been flurrying for the last half hour.

    an overnight low of 6 which was 6 degrees higher than forecast. i like that trend.

    it was really good--I tried making it via the pressure cooker as something new and it was excellent.

    i wanted sleet. and i missed out on all of the heavy stuff. oh well.

    growing up in CT we always shoveled a path to the grill after every snowstorm and my dad set up an umbrella somehow so he could grill while it was snowing.

    still a snow/sleet mix. i can hear some quiet pinging on the window but it's nothing like what some of you are describing. the snow is blowing around in the slight breeze, too.

    i want to see pure heavy sleet, lol. i’d switch with you if i could!

    heavy sleet and snow, visibility down to 1/4 mile again. another 1-2 inches maybe since earlier this morning. it’s 80/20 snow/sleet.
