    Backside energy sliding, coastal forming. We aint done yet. Also there is a max jet firing up the coast,explains the pop up snow now over us and building.

    Coming in from my morning jebwalk to the store,im actually shocked to see almost 2 inches down..its been snowing even when nothing is shown on radar too. I can see us reaching 3+ depending on where the mix line makes it,either way we go back to snow on the backside which i think we bank on later.

    I actually think the best snows are still to come,everything that is blowing up to our west is going to start moving east and consolidate near the coast. Depending on where the coastal is or how it strong develops,it might still be snowing/mix thruout the day.

    We break the snowless streak soon,def in the next incoming batch. Up here in the bronx we are at 1 inch currently.

    Currently the coastal is off or just inland from the nc/sc border. The echos are building over the ocean as we speak. Also there is energy coming in from the west, if they end up blowing up near delmarva is another story. Nyc should continue to snow this morning, precip is developing over philly moving straight to us here in the metro and closing the snow hole in the next 30 mins or so...

    25/24f here ..snow has picked up in intensity over the last 15 mins or so...approaching a inch or so.

    You got it!.. im in the bronx and i can atest to the fact that it's cold and snowing hard rn!!..im close to the freezing mark at 11:30 am after a high of 37 at 6:45 am..

    So much for the quick mover,this has staying power. I dunno if the disturbance now in western ohio dries up but that feature is of note for tonight, if it gives us some light precip or not is still tbd.

    Depending on the banding,nyc might see the heaviest snow since early in the event. Also a ivt is near us in the metro,so it might be get interesting soon.

    The radar is picking back up around us. Here at home its white drizzle..35f..this should be turning over to mostly snow as the afternoon approaches.

    The winds have def shifted in our favor,the snow falling isnt as wet as earlier,more on the icy side. Which means the warm air has stopped and prob has slowly started to move se across the area and back to all snow overnight. Someone upstate gets 20+ inches just my hunch.
