    I would imagine the first half of March is more conducive for snow than the last half of March.

    I don't care how cold it is in March, it is always difficult to get snow especially in the lower elevations.

    Sounds like what happens in the summer when some areas get drenched and a few miles away its sunny.

    The only bad thing is that snow in Late Feb and March tends to melt very fast.
